"A little house on legs, with bedroom and living / kitchen rooms. Very functional and clean. Makes a good base-camp for exploring. 2 minutes from station. The ‘loft’ beds have very low headroom if you needed to use them. Slide in! Good email communications on how to find key."

"Units were spotless and comfortable and communication with staff for any queries we had were handled quickly and proficiently. Only negative is that the railway line ran right behind the property. Fortunately it was a local train and was not too frequent or bothersome but if you’re after a quiet spot, you may be affected by the noise. "

"Host is very friendly and approachable. The air conditioning is not working well while we are there, she tried her best to fix the situation for us. She is very accommodating and friendly. The cottage itself, has kitchette, powder room downstairs, and bathroom upstairs. The beddings are very comfortable and I wish I can stay longer. Would definitely come again."

"Samurise Daruma is a convenient place to stay for visiting Mt Fuji and the five lakes region. The self check-in option is convenient. The area around the property is easy to navigate. Fujikyu station is just a few steps away. The property is a little dated but clean and has everything you need for a short stay."

"What a wonderful holiday home. New and fresh, photos don’t do it justice. Lots of space, bedrooms are upstairs - 2 bedrooms each with 4 single beds so could accommodate a large group. Few minutes walk to the lake with fabulous views of Mt Fuji and close to Oishi park. You can see Mt Fuji from the holiday house and it had a little deck (but no table/chairs). Really quiet area. No washer/dryer which was the only negative. House is managed by the shop across the road which is where you check in...

"I booked 3 days to stay in this property. We decided on the first day that it is not for us and refunded the last day. Cons: To start, the walk to the property is the furthest walk on the entire street practically only up hill walking. It is quite annoying to get anywhere if you want to leave the property. The laundry machine is broken and leaks everywhere, leading to badly washed clothes and a wet floor. The beds were wet before we entered the villa. We tried to sleep, but too moist to...

"The hotel opened three weeks before our stay, so it was absolutely stunning and modern. we also had a gorgeous view of Mt Fuji from our balcony in the morning. the personal onsen was also a great touch. beware that this is a digital hotel, so check in is a little frustrating. the other issue is that you can only use the wending machine if you have a Japanese mobile phone (eSim does not work) and it is a self catering hotel. restaurants around close at 5, there is a pizzeria with last order at 7....

"100% perfect view of Fuji-san!! Short walk from Kawaguchiko Station and the route is generally flat and well lit at night. The property was very modern and minimalist. Room was clean but had some drain flies in the toilet. Very spacious and can easily fit four adults and luggage. Walls were not very sound-proof but was still acceptable. "
