Clean and Quiet, Nicely Appointed
This is what Motel 6 used to be like. I only stay at Motel 6 now when i have the dogs with me. Sadly, dogs are not allowed at this America's Best motel. I was very pleased with the quality of the room, the amenities (frig, microwave, hair dryer, coffee in room, clean tub, working TV, comfortable bed), and the cleanliness. Well worth the reasonable price. Also, quite quiet, in location that was not sketchy. If you're not traveling with dogs, this is the reasonably-priced location for you, and only 10 minutes to the Sonoma County (Charles M. Schultz) Airport.

Mold in shower
The overall room was fairly clean but the bathtub/shower was disgusting. There was mold and hair on the top of the shower wall. The bathroom door could also use some WD-40 to stop the creaking noise every time the door was open or closed.

decent location, nice staff, room wasn't so clean.
Really liked the staff, but the rooms are dated, there was some small hairs stuck on the wall in our room/possible mold by tub,, dusty, craky as hell bed, bedspread seemed dirty. old tvs. not awful but expected a bit more cleanliness. a facelift would go a long way here.

nice but too small
location was nice. i think the room was too small and the a/c was too close to the second bed. i was there for the Ironman race. the place was even smaller with the bikes inside. staff was great!

Walked into my room and someone in my bed!!!
My key wouldn't work and had to be re coded twice. I went out for two hours, came back, and there was a man sleeping in my bed in the room I paid for! All of my things were in there and the front office registered him for my room and since I wasn't in there, he made himself comfortable and went to sleep! The area is not safe, the staff overbooked the room and a stranger had access to all of my things while I was out running errands,

I come to the area for a monthly meeting and the location is convenient to where I have my meeting. The place is very outdated, but it does meet all your basic needs with a small coffee pot, fridge and microwave in the room. Furniture and TV's are definitely outdated along with the decorations (bedspreads & pictures), but it's low priced and I've never had an issue with staff, noise, or problems of any kind.

Not worth the money. It's like the room was stuck in 1999 but with a 2017 price tag. Box Tv with fuzzy quality, bathroom mirror not even hung on the wall, and the mattress is the worst thing I've ever slept on.

This place is way over priced. The carpets are filthy and amenities we're very out dated. It is right next to the freeway and noisy at night. Very disappointed.

Worst hotel stay ever
Outside was dirty and not maintained. Upon entering the office, manager grunted at us as a greeting. Room was run down. Bed was hard as a rock as a rock, bathroom had mildew on the ceiling. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

No frills budget hotel
If you want to save money and your staying a whole week it's worth it. I paid 129.00 a day. If only in town 1 day, maybe look at the hotel right next door. Room was clean & my family felt safe. I also felt safe walking bare foot in my room also CLEAN WHITE SHEETS. PAY WITH CASH, they charged my debit card extra. I don't know if I'll get my money back. We'll see. Antiquated building with some remodeling. Front desk can be hard to reach. Excellent maids plenty of towels etc. Maybe paint the bathroom, otherwise clean and everything worked. Would I stay there again coin flip. Probably would. TV had lots of channels WiFi mini fridge with freezer. Older 2 story building but got to park my car in front of the room. With well lit parking lot. Ask for a upstairs room. Check in and give it an hour before you leave, to get the feeling of the place. Front desk service left something to be desired, but if you don't care it's otherwise 4 star solid rooms. No substantial Continental breakfast, but for what you're paying you shouldn't expect one.

Not bad
Stayed here before and was disappointed, however returned recently due to bargain pricing and the place has improved. Not a great area, but not completely bad either. Great for a one night layover but could not be here for a lengthy time. Friendly staff and nice middle of the road hotel/motel.

I'd definitely go back!
Everything was clean and comfortable. Someone got up early to do what sounded like a treadmill run at 7am but, overall it was a very nice place. Wish these places had functioning pools, since that is what most families look for when traveling to warm places and want a weekend of leisure, fortunately we had a busy schedule for a graduation, but it definitely was missed.

If the pool is out of service they need to post that on the website. It looked like it hadn't been used for a year. There was also random room furniture in corners of the walkways on the second floor which was odd.

Missing Some Basics
1st $150 room I've stayed in that had neither a TV nor any mirror anywhere in the room. Best for people who can shave (or put on makeup) without looking. Plus side: room clean, plumbing worked.

Not worth the money
I have never stayed in a hotel room with no mirror!!!! The TV didn't work, there was no hand soap (had to use the bath jell in the shower), and the carpet was dirty. This place needs some serious updating. The sheets were clean is about the only good thing I can say. I would NEVER stay here again

Our room had leak in the ceiling of the bathroom (first floor location). Not noticeable until the morning, drip noise and when we looked, water all over floor/toilet area, noticeable in the ceiling. They were nice enough to give a discount on the room, not what I want when staying in a hotel...

This hotel was a good experience overall. We needed a room for one night in the area, and this hotel was the most reasonably priced that we found in the area with a decent rating. Some of the bed sheets and linens were noticeably a bit worn, and we noted slight old stains on one area of one of the bed sheets. The room was overall clean and tidy. The TV screen was a bit off in the coloring at the top, though to us was not a big deal since we didn't watch much TV. Part of the reason we chose this hotel was because it had a complimentary breakfast, and we were disappointed with the very small selection of food available in the morning: three kinds of dry cereal, bagels with cream cheese, hot cereal packets. The coffee machine that could make several types of drinks, hots or cold, was nice, though more food options would have been nice.

The only gripe I had was Orbitz hadn't sent my reservation to the hotel prior to my arrival which was approximately one hour later and the manager was upset because he could have sold my room before I got there not knowing I had already paid for it....And "THE ICE MACHINE" WAS NOT WORKING!!!! I am an iceaholic and require ICE for everything....otherwise good place...

For a couple of nights, when you are basically sleeping there and showering, its convenient, good price, and has a Starbucks in the parking lot. A short drive to all we wanted to see and do in Calistoga.

Uncomfortable, but cheap & well-located.
The bed was a full-sized, though my reservation specified a king. This was uncomfortable for my 6'2" boyfriend. The shower was made for VERY small people; I'm 5'3" & the water hit my lower back. I had to duck down to wet my hair. The towels were so rough I had to buy a couple from Macy's. On top of all this, the room was extraordinarily small and not very clean (other people's hair on the floor, sticking to my feet). I won't stay here again & wouldn't recommend it.

Decent stay
Overall our stay was decent, but I did have some issues with things. First, I booked our room online for a non- smoking room but when we arrived we were told by the front desk that we had actually reserved a smoking room. I checked my conformation email I had previously received when booking, and it clearly says none smoking. What's up with that? My conformation email says something different then what was sent to their system? Definitely don't feel like I can trust their online booking. Thankfully there was actually still one none smoking room left and the person at the front desk was very helpful and understanding. Although, the room we were given was the size of a walk in closet. Still, it was clean and comfortable. Location was good, close to an Applebee's and some fast food places. Nothing fancy, but if you need food you can walk to it. Our other issue was that we were woken first thing Saturday morning to a maid practically walking into our room. Check out is not till 12 and we also had our "do not disturb" sign up. Still, the maid was knocking on everyone's door first thing in the morning. I understand they're just trying to do their job, but why dose the hotel send their maids around 3 hours before check out time? We couldn't go back to sleep to the sound of them knocking on every room's door. Definitely not a relaxing morning at this place. But all in all, it was a decent stay. I just wouldn't trust online booking and don't expect to sleep-in in the morning.
