We enjoyed our stay at Cape Sounio during first week of July this year. We'd recommend a car for visiting neighborhood areas. The services and staff were very helpfull and we gladly recommend the resort to anyone that can afford it.

A great hotel for families with children. The facilities were nice and the beach was great. Kids club was excellent. Staff was very friendly & helpful.

“Relaxing experience, excellent service”

Excellent position with views of the Temple of Poseidon. Accommodation is separate from the main hotel area, which gives seclusion, but on the other hand it does mean a few minutes walk to the restaurant etc. Room design is a bit avant garde eg bath area separated from the bedroom area by a wicker screen on runners, and the bath has no taps meaning you have to put your arm through the flow of the shower to get the right temperature. Service was very good with nothing too much trouble. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food, though the hot food was only warm. Nice beach area accessed through tunnel under the road. Pictures on Google earth showing the road might suggest a noisy distraction, but that isn't the case at all. You hardly notice it. Good recreational facilities - tennis, sauna, spa, climbing wall, volley ball, indoor and out door pool.

The hotel site and overall planning is remarkable and beyond description; the staff went out of their way to make sure that they were available to assist in any way possible. There are a few touches that are missing in order to make this a first-rate 5 star facility, including the bedding and general upgrade of finishes, which is a necessary attribute for this class of accomodation

“Beautiful spot close to Athens.”

Beautiful place with impressive architecture. Would be better if cars were not allowed to park wherever people want. The rooms were nicely designed but the tv was very outdated, and there were troubles with the jacquizi in the room. Small details but ones that guest should expect in a luxury hotel. The breakfast was incredible and the staff made the stay even nicer. A wonderful spot close to athens!

“Watch your personal belongings!!!”

At first glance this seems like a luxurious hotel, below the surface however the hotel is disappointing. The rooms are small, uncomfortable, and below the standard of any 5 star hotel in which I've stayed. There was broken glass everywhere including on our bungalow patio. To walk barefoot would be asking for a hospital stay. There is nothing to do outside of the resort and one must take a taxi to get anywhere. Walking is not an option as the hotel is on a busy highway with no sidewalks. The beach is very small and the grounds are unkempt. The prices are exorbitant. At best this is a 3 star hotel and at the prices we paid, the value for money was just not there. To add insult to injury both nights of our stay were beyond disappointing. 1) Our first night was noisy and sleep was not possible as there was a private party going on. We were unable to use the facilities because of the private party. We stayed at this hotel after a week long conference in Athens and were looking for R&R...needless to say we didn't get it. 2) Our second day/night was even more disappointing. We decided to take a taxi to dinner at a local taverna (where we paid 154 Euro for one fish - that's another story!). While we were away from the hotel our room was broken into and our personal belongings stolen. This was very traumatizing and we felt very unsafe. Police were called and the manager apologized but only offered for us to help ourselves to the mini-bar. Buyer Beware. Learn from my mistake.
