"The hotel is unique in decor. It is older, but very clean and antique decor. I loved it. We were pleasantly surprised to get a larger room. Very close to Central Park and Museum across the street. Also subway is close. We walked to the theatre district for a play. I was so happy to find that cleaning staff found my wallet. I had left it in the safe and staff had given it to the office. "It’s really hard to find a hotel in this neighborhood and this one is super close to Broadway, which is very convenient. You do get what you pay for, this is not a luxury property, but it has character. I will give it that. Vintage Victorian style chaise lounges in the lobby. Could definitely use better cleaning. The rats in the street outside are actually not very big. Probably wouldn’t come here with young children. But would definitely return here over a Times Square tourist trap any day."
