Oasis in Moshi

Beautiful gated property. Stayed here specifically for the pool-didn't disappoint. We used this property to relax after climbing Kilimanjaro. It was very restful. Food was okay. Prices very reasonable. I wasn't impressed with drinks-no ice, so no specialty drinks, wine was not good, beer was cold and good. Language a little bit of a barrier, but managed. Have to put your food order in and reservation time prior to dinner time. Not sure why, but it was unusual. Pleasant staff. Rooms comfortable, beds a little hard, no air conditioning, only a wall fan. Fortunately the evening was not hot. Overall liked it and would stay again. Need to understand hotels.com lists beds as queen and king, they only have twin beds in the rooms.

Great hotel

Fantastic hotel with a beautiful pool and good choice of food and drinks in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with good decor. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Moshi region, particularly before or after climbing Kili or doing a safari.

Comfy Oasis Just Outside Moshi

Honestly can’t rate this hotel highly enough. I stayed here for 1 night before and 3 nights after a Kilimanjaro hike and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The hotel rooms are comfortable and cool and sit amongst lovely gardens. The restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced, and there is a nice pool to float around in. All in all it makes for a delightful place to relax and unwind, but the real standouts are the staff. Literally everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating - I’m not sure how the owners managed to recruit so many nice people in the one place, but they did! I need to give special thanks to Pauline at reception who really went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. She solved my every problem and request so quickly and so nicely, I think I can quite honestly say this is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. I have no hesitation recommending the Mountain Inn - you can rest-assured you’ll be well-looked after. My stay has been incredibly refreshing and I’ll definitely come again next time I find myself in Moshi.

A friendly and quiet retreat

Loved my stay here. I'm currently living in a village outside of Arusha and needed a mini vacation away from the bustle of village life. The staff were incredibly nice! They all knew me by name, greeted me with sincere friendliness. Even got a few hugs! The rooms are spare, but clean. The bathrooms are awkwardly large and many of the toilets have a dripping issue, but having access to a sitting flush toilet is a luxury in this part of the world. The grounds are lovey, a French-style garden. There's a nice deep pool as well. Highly recommend the Mountain Inn to anyone looking for a reprieve in the Moshi area!

Perfect place to relax coming off Kili!

Mountain Inn was another great hotel we stayed at. The Indian flair food cooked up by the chefs here was incredible! The hotel is very clean, has a pool, a nice bar and the rooms are roomy and clean. Great place and we will stay again!

not a bad place to stay staff very friendly food was very good if you like Indian otherwise not quite so good as chef not up to it overcooked a lot of the food otherwise a very safe place to stay with 24 hr security and a good swimming pool staff very helpful in organising taxi etc
