"The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. just a short ride to both Nimes and Arles. On Monday evening be sure to attend the 'family style' dinner put on by the hotel as nothing is really open in the area until at least 7:00 pm."

"Patty and Jean-Paul were amazing! It was like visiting old friends. The place was completely charming and was a perfect HOME BASE that allowed me to explore everything from Cassis, Marseillle, Montpellier, Nimes etc. Though I didn’t take advanatage often they made sure I was fed and their flexibility was over and beyond. I wish my stay had not been so short."

"This hotel is in a great location. Parking is nearby for 40€ for three days. Or 25€ per day. We found it to be quiet. The staff were not the friendliest bunch but they did their job. Seemed clean enough. It’s fine for a night or two. Not really special or stand out in anyway. "On our visit to the south of France we decided to stop in Nîmes overnight to see the temples and Roman Coliseum. We chose Hotel de l’Ampitheatre for its proximity to the train station and the sights, and high ratings. We were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. It felt like a lovely little Inn. If we travel to Nîmes again, we will not hesitate to return to this hotel"

"Generally 3 stars not because it was bad, it was a clean and cheap motel .. and amongst those this one was average. If you're on a budget and just passing through then this is absolutely fine. Our very limited contact with members of staff were very polite and, thankfully for us, their English was excellent and way better than our French."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The location is superb, right in front of the Roman amphitheatre, just a short walk from the station. The room was very well equipped and comfortable, everything worked fine, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We noticed no noise from inside the hotel. There was some from the adjacent building site, but only during working hours and this was not a problem. If visiting Nimes again we would certainly be happy to stay here. "
