We really appreciated how convenient everything was and how well the property was maintained. However, the breakfast buffet was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price. It was far too expensive for what was offered. The food quality was poor—particularly the scrambled eggs, which were honestly some of the worst we’ve had. To make matters worse, when we arrived at the restaurant, even the glasses had an unpleasant smell, which made for a very bad start to the day. Overall, while the hotel and staff were great, the dining experience needs serious improvement."

"The line was long for check in. They were short staffed and staff made a mistake with a room assignment to another customer which held things up even more. Our room entrance was shared with another guest. It felt awkward. The room had 1 small mirror in the bathroom. The street noise was loud. We have stayed at much better properties in DC. The Line and The Hilton had much better service ! We have stayed many times in NYC and had excellent service and experience there.. We would probably not stay at Lyle again. "

"This historic property has a beautiful back terrace looking over a wooded area that is quite peaceful. The hotel is very accessible to other areas of DC as there is a metro stop just 2 blocks away and it is near an area with shops and restaurants."

"Can’t believe I was charged a resort fee when there wasn’t anything and $60 a day for valet, neither of which was disclosed before hand, until I checked in. The room was clean and comfortable, but I probably won’t stay there again."
