"A well presented resort and a well equipped self catering apartment. Located centrally in Cornwall for most days out. The Lookout bar is vibrant and busy most evenings. "Had a wonderful stay for 3 nights in August. The hotel is beautifully located over looking a beautiful large sandy beach. Although there were many kids staying, it didn’t feel over run (other than a few overzealous dads throwing their small kinds over their heads in the indoor pool, which was a little unnerving)! The hotel was built in 1959 and looks a bit dated from the outside. However, inside it has been tastefully refurbished, though in keeping, and the facilities very good were up to spec....

"Camelot castle is a perfect location for Tintagel . A short walk into the village which although busy is lovely. The views from the hotel are breathtaking with a costal path direct to the small beach( check tidal times before you go) There is a lovely bar where we purchased drinks and sat outside and watches the sunset. The hotel decor is amazing and have a comfortable lounge to sit on. Our room was plenty big enough with sea view, bathroom had a bath and separate shower too and was spotless....

"Lovely hotel my only criticism is the floors are very creaky in the bedrooms so you can hear anyone walking around day or night about you , we didn’t sleep well as the people above insisted on walk around constantly until 3 am , god only knows what they were doing. Left the family very tired the next day ( not good ) !"

"The hotel was pretty good in general. Room was fine: very clean. Slightly old-school grandparent vibe instead of funky Newquay surfer vibe, and some of the fittings were slightly run down if you looked closely, but that's being really critical. Breakfast was excellent with unusually good veggie choices. Staff were helpful. The beach location was dramatic. It was quite pricey but I suppose that's the cost when staying in Newquay last minute during school holidays."
