Nice place.

Had a nice room with coffee machine, fridge, water and biscuits. Really powerful shower. Nice central location! All good!

Small room, but had all we needed in living a kettle with tea and coffee for the morning! Reasonably clean. Easy check in. We stayed on a super hot night and there was a fan in the room to try and help cool us down! Slightly out of the way from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town so was reasonably quiet because of this. Comfy. I’d stay here again!

I’ll give it another chance as I’ve stayed before

I have stayed in this place before and had a great time. This time I decided to book the deluxe room as my works budget managed to stretch to it. I was really looking forward to relaxing after a long day at work combined with a long drive down to Brighton. I got there and there were workmen drilling and sawing. I decided to have a shower and head out until the workmen would finish. I went to go out of the shower to grab something and because I was obviously wet I bought water out with me. This subsequently caused the entire bathroom to puddle with water and it was still not gone before I left. So I had to wear shoes every time I needed the toilet.

Cheap, some issues to fix.

Positives: 1. Price was cheap. 2. Check in was easy. 3. Bed was comfortable. Negatives: 1. Shower tray does not drain quickly enough, meaning water soon floods the bathroom. I used a towel to stop water flooding the bedroom. This is unsafe. 2. Light above bed does not work. 3. Guttering outside window leaks and causes drips onto window ledge. This means water splashes into room and soaks the curtain when the window is open.

Reasonable, some key issues

Overall, not the best nor the worst I've ever stayed in. Reasonable for price. I had no issues with checking in, but encountered many guests who did - I was WhatsApped the codes and details although others apparently were not, if the same had happened to me I'd be reviewing this with fewer stars. Fairly comfy bed, not great pillows but workable. Bath was nice once I worked out the plug. Shower good but really do take heed with reviewers saying it floods - I had about 5 mins in there and it only just stopped flooding into the bedroom. Needs sorting out for sure. Nice room otherwise, large, window locks seem to have been fixed so all good. Did repeatedly have people at my door, however not threateningly - they had purely not been told which room was there's so were stuck trying every one.

Property was efficient with auto entry system I found stairs daunting which would put me off from using again unless I was on ground or first floor. Shower excellent Otherwise it was excellent for an overnight

Cheap stay in good location

If you need a bolt hole then it’s perfect. The “check in” worked well. No problems and the host was contactable by phone and very helpful. They called to make sure we had key etc. You get what you pay for and this is what you would expect. It’s very close to the beach and it was very quiet at night.

Room 1 had no seats TV was on wall to right of bed this made watching TV difficult Food to room was stiff to open. I stayed before in room 4 At that time breakfast was available in a lounge area Pity it is no longer available

Had 1 night in a deluxe room at Oyo recently and it was fine. We had no issues checking in, but there are zero staff there so would be a concern if there was an issue. The shower was really nice but the bath had a dripping tap. Location is great but the wooden window covers weirdly have intentional holes in, so at 6am the sun woke us.

Nice decor. Nice bathroom. Top floor room was so hot! Please provide a fan. Mattress needs changed as the spings are popping up. Clean your skiting boards. Overall 150 pounds for one nigjt? Not eholly impressed.

Awful place , dreadful appearance outside looks abandoned . No staff , unable to access property for over 2 hours . Room smelt damp , unsafe , I left after 10 minutes & went to another hotel !

Room 5 is photo’s great - real thing needs work

A real shame as the place should be good however without a toilet door, lights that automatically turn on and light up the room in the middle of the night for 20 mins it really does need some work. Maintenance simply has not been maintained…

The check in was fine, after phoning the day before the stay, I received an email with the key codes for the main door and the room. It wasn’t possible to check in early as the room wasn’t ready. The room was basic and clean, the shower worked and was warm. The bed was not comfortable as others have warned- that was the only issue. It was ok for a night but wouldn’t stay again.

Arrived after a 6 hour journey to find what looked like an abandoned building! This hotel does not exist! Awful experience! The company never answer the phone so no use at all! Absolutely disgusted at this experience

Oyo hotel Brighton

Reviews on hotels.com are from year's ago. Recent Trip advisor reviews revealed a dirty, run down place. Hotel taken over as homeless hostel during covid and left in a less than desirable state. Rather than put ourselves through this we didnt go. Hotels.com and hotel refused refund despite false advertising. Very disappointing and changed my once positive view of the company.

Good location and comfortable matress but thats the only positives i can find. A thin bit of foam rubber is not a pillow. Blind broken, so brown square of material hanging down makies this overpriced room dingy and hot. Kettle and one cup. No tea coffee or milk Disappointing

Room was dirty, and bathroom was disgusting. Including hairs on the mirror, around shower and the bin lid was vile. Including used toiletry bottle and empty toilet rolls from previous guest. And the viewing window from bed directly to the toilet seat really was comical. Did not have high expectations due to price but basic cleanliness would have been appreciated. Location was great though.
