Theme Relaxation

It’s perfectly obvious that the Inn Keepers Doug and Cheri go out of their way to provide everything need for relaxation and comfort. So much so that it’s almost overwhelming how many choices there are to help you relax. In room TV with DVD players, Hottubs large enough for frolics or floating your stress away, your favorite beverages and water in the fridge, sweets, teas and coffees also in your suite to be sipped in real cups while gazing over a quaint lake complete with ducks and a SWAN. I could go on indefinitely. Downstairs is a comfortable common area, complete with a piano and fireplace. Conversation with the Inn Keepers is available but they are more than willing to respect your privacy. Guitars available throughout the home for your strumming pleasure or you can walk around the lake. The food is plentiful and real. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all yet be close to amenities, this is it. We didn’t take advantage of this but transportation to wineries is available. The Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and Baker Creek Seed are within a half hours drive. This is a secluded venue which makes it doubly special to find such luxurious beds and attention to detail in this area. This is our 3rd stay and we will be back.

Fantastic Stay

This place is fantastic. The owner, Cheri, has great communication with guests, and goes above and beyond compared to any B&B we've ever stayed. She is friendly, baked several different snacks and had an amazing breakfast. The room itself was palatial, and very comfortable. We would highly recommend.

There was nothing negative to say. The place was even more beautiful in person. Our room was spacious, beautiful and quiet. The hostess bent over backwards to accomodate us and the food she made was amazing!

Inoubliable !

Un havre de paix ! Les propriétaires sont adorables, nous avons pris la chambre vintage sur rock’n’roll : sublime !!! Excellent petit déjeuner fait maison et ne passer à côté du repas du soir fait maison également !!! On recommande vivement.

Swan Song Inn sings beautifully!

The bnb was well appointed with all needs met. The hostess gave clear information and answered questions that we asked. We fed the ducks and fished and enjoyed a saspirilla float that was great! Breakfast was provided in our rooms and was fresh and personalized to our needs. Everything was e trembly clean and our hostess made us feel like family. We hope to go bake again as we only stayed one night. This is a place for a two or three day retreat.

The unit we stayed in at Swan song was well-equipped with all the amenities I would’ve expected and more. The bed is so comfortable in the sheets just kind of cuddled you. The grounds are beautiful lush and green. There is a large pond, small lake on the grounds. The host saw shop near the lake and brought fishing poles out and we were allowed to fish. There are also ducks in a swan that made things very peaceful and calm. We would return here in a heartbeat.

I travel a lot for work and this is by far the best place I’ve stayed. Beautiful property and very friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Can’t wait to come back and stay with my wife.

Absolutely the best stays we had.

Absolutely the best B&B we have ever been to. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were welcomed. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and plentiful. We already are making plans on when we will return.

One of the best stays of my life

This property is amazing. Cheri was so nice to me for my two nights there, the ducks are so fun, the rooms are so cool, and the sounds of nature out there tie the package all together nicely. I could wake up every day there.

Wonderful Respite!

We were exhausted from a funeral we'd travelled to officiate over and weren't sure what to expect. What a treat with such lavish hospitality! Outstanding!!

The Swan Song Inn is a true gem, a hidden treasure in Marshfield, Missouri, nestled in a very warm, cozy, loving environment. On our anniversary road trip to Nashville, we stayed a night in the “Country Cottage” room which had a neat, charming western decor, and we were very comfortable. The inn keepers were great, so friendly and kind. Cheri made us feel right at home with those specially baked chocolate chip cookies, banana nut bread, and the delicious gourmet breakfast. Doug graciously entertained us with his soothing guitar music and shared a beautiful love song he’d written for Cheri. Cheri and Doug’s hospitality was so very caring, and thoughtful with every detail addressed. We’ll never forget the warm welcome and the pleasant and informative conversations we had with such delightful people. Thank you so much for sharing, your incredible Bed and Breakfast (your home) with us. It was truly a Destination of Relaxation, and we surely plan to come again.

Peaceful and beautiful surroundings

I recently stayed here while attending a wedding at the venue. My three night stay was comfortable, relaxing, and private. I stayed in the rock and roll themed room outside the main house and had a deck and seating areas outside the room to enjoy the outdoors in a corner of the stunning yard. The fireflies, rustling trees, and sounds of nature in the evening made relaxing outside a restful and tranquil pleasure. In addition to the beautiful surroundings, the owners made the experience great fun. Breakfast and other moments of casual interaction in the common areas of the main house were low-key and filled with easy and funny conversation. I couldnt have asked for a better combination of privacy and engagement during my stay!

A hidden gem

This place was definitely a hidden gem. Cheri and Doug, the inn keepers, were very personable and friendly, and they made us feel like family. I really appreciated the fact that Doug sat and played guitar with my husband and they talked music while we got to unwind in a beautiful setting. The grounds are expansive and well maintained and the food was delicious. We will definitely return for another stay.

Everything was perfect about our stay at the Swan Song Inn. Sheri and Doug were the perfect hosts at this Bed and Breakfast Inn. The Inn was clean, comfortable, and a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. The breakfast that Sheri made was delicious! You can even fish, and enjoy the swan, ducks, chickens, deer, and rabbits!

A beautiful relaxing get away.

My husband and I spent to nights at the Swan Song Inn. Doug and Cheri are wonderful hosts. Our room was very comfortable and clean, we had everything we needed and more. From a sweet treat in our room on arrival to and snack of fruit and cheese by the lake in the evening. Breakfast was wonderful both days, delicious. Cheri checks to see your likes and dislikes before you arrive for a personal touch, very nice. The grounds are kept so well, its just welcoming and a relaxing atmosphere. We will return. Thank you.

Our stay at Swan Song Inn

The breakfasts were sensational. The location, acreage, etc. was beautiful and very relaxing. The host and hostess were exceptionally accommodating, and the room was great. There was plenty to do in the small towns nearby and larger cities (Branson and Springfield) not too far away.

Top Notch B&B

We loved the whole place. Everything was beautiful and Cheri and Doug were amazing hosts. They took care of every little detail. The breakfast was truly delicious. Tney also were very helpful with directions and details about restaurants and businesses to try in the area. We would definitely recommend Swan Song Inn to anybody looking for a wonderful relaxing place to stay.
