very good. Although not so near to the main tourist destination, it's close to its subway station. It takes around 5 minutes to walk from Esaka station to the hotel. It's convenient. The room is good, big, tidy. Will definitely live here again if I go to Osaka next time.
Booked a nonsmoking room that was disgustingly saturated with smoke. Even after 3 days of the room being wide open and running fans. Hotel did nothing to accommodate.

Good stay
Spent 3 nights here but room heater did not work at all. No frontdesk assistant.
Esaka train station is about 10-15 mins walk and there are restaurants and convenient store nearby

something wrong with their wifi
they said there are free wifi in the hall, but there are not. They told us there are free wifi in the room, but there are not. They promised us 2 sets of keys, turned out only one. I called them, they called back and told me that a staff will come and give me the second set of keys at 7 to 8 pm,I waited in the room, the staff didn't show up and didn't call. 2 days later someone called me when I was in the Metro, which I missed. Anyway,it's the 4th night of the 7 nights stay,so I didn't call back.
The apartment was very clean, and the price was good. I would have given this apartment grade 3.5 or 4,but,call me old fashioned if you like. I just don't like irresponsible people and I don't like people who can't keep their promises.
Azul Esaka isn't your average hotel. It is more like serviced apartments. The room was fantastic and quite big for Japanese standards. It even had a kitchen with fridge, convection oven and stove top. The only negatives about the room are the lack of Wifi internet that was advertised and the semi double bed. The bed is a tight fit for any couple. With a larger bed this would be a great room especially for the price.
There is no traditional reception as it is all self check in. Great if you want a comfortable room to use as a base. Not so great if you expect room service and daily cleaning.
