A recently renovated palazzo with very tasteful decor, top-notch service (generally unusual Europe-wide), and very convenient access to both central Mantova and all driving directions.

This hotel is an enchanting enclave for the discriminating traveller who is looking for an experience that is extraordinary in terms of a unique take on the past. Situated in a heritage museum, it offers an opportunity to sojourn in an era of the past. Parking is not available at the palazzo but there is free parking close enough (about 300 meters away) and there is no food service but you are getting to stay in a part of the rarified living quarters of a member of the Gonzaga family and so, make your choose and select a place from the past that will remain as a special memory.

Vi hadde tavernaleiligheten i kjelleren. Det var en helt spesiell opplevelse å bo her. Leiligheten var veldig stor med to bad og tre soverom. Mye krimskrams morsomme detaljer som virkelig ga følelsen av å bo på et museum. Litt dårlig luft i leiligheten da den lå i kjelleren, men ellers veldig bra. Mantova var et flott reisemål. Vi fikk råd om spisesteder fra personalet. Vi fulgte disse, og fikk unike opplevelser!

マントヴァらしい素晴らしいホテルでした。建物はパラッツォ、ロビーは美術館のようでした。部屋は広くてキッチンがついており、景色も良かったです。ホテル自体は少人数で運営されているので、時々ロビーにはスタッフがいないこともありました。が、連絡先は教えてもらえましたので、そういう時は電話すれば大丈夫でした。チェックアウト時にスーツケースを預かってもらっていたのですが、私たちが取りに行く時間に合わせて、スタッフがわざわざ待っていて下さいました。 おかげさまでたくさん観光できました。ありがとうございました。

Nice stay in a historic building

We stayed 3 nights for a business trip and I really liked our cozy apartment! It had a nice big bathroom and the washer was a big plus too. The hotel was a little tricky to find, but the staff was very helpful, nice, and accommodating. The key to our apartment was a really cool old skeleton key, so that was really cool too!

歴史的建造物の広い部屋にリーズナブルに宿泊できる。10ユーロで食べられる朝食は、希望した時間に部屋まで運んでくれ大満足。二人で宿泊したが、4人でも十分にゆったり過ごせ、家族連れには特におすすめ。

Disappointing

The check in and check out times are very strict with no flexibility - and leaving luggage is an issue. The accommodation exists as a couple of rooms from an old Palazzo which is now occupied by other businesses. The rooms have decorative ceilings but otherwise modern and tasteless additions. Would recommend saving your money and staying closer to town center.

quaint hidden treasure

We stayed in the underground tavern room. It is even cooler than it looks in the online pictures. Dark, quiet, and cool (we stayed in the summer). The staff were also lovely and so helpful. Highly recommend.

Make sure you get castle suites

This hotel has 2 suites that are part of the castle and are absolutely gorgeous. If standard room is booked, it is mediocre. The hotel needs to be contacted at the time of the booking to make sure that the right room is selected, otherwise it is not worth it.

Esperienza memorabile

Ci siamo trovati benissimo in questa casa museo (l'unica in Italia), soggiornando nell'appartamento di 220 mq lo stesso dove si riunivano i carbonari nel periodo sotto il dominio austriaco! Esperienza da ricordare! Inoltre abbiamo ricevuto un siberino che ci occorreva per il quale la titolare non ha voluto essere pagata.

Interesting premise On this restored building the hotel owns some part of the building, a bank owns most of the rest The apartment we stayed is huge 200 square meters with 3 bdrms, 2 baths and a room for exhibit of historical significance where people got together to plan resistances against the power of the austro-húngaro kingdom

Meraviglioso hotel-museo

Abbiamo soggiornato nella Suite con annessa cappella del Cardinal Gonzaga, semplicemente fantastica! La camera, oltre ad essere molto ampia e dotata di ogni confort, ci ha permesso di dormire circondati da opere dei maestri dell'arte barocca mantovana. Esperienza davvero suggestiva.

Чудесный дворец

Мы останавливались в этом чудесном отеле на одну ночь, он хорошо настраивает на восприятие прекрасного города Мантуи, который мне запомнился как город дворцов. В музеи отеля чудесные фрески и скульптура, очень понравилась экскурсия по музею. Наш номер состоял из двух комнат, одна просто замечательная с фресками, лепниной и скульптурой. Вторая комната занимала часть огромного зала, была чуть менее удобной, т.к. свет мы могли отключить только в нашей части зала. Все остальное было очень удобно, имелись и ванна и душевая кабина. В номере были ноутбук и кофеварка. Меня восхитило,что профессор Линарди 36 лет назад фактически спас этот дворец, и теперь им можно не только любоваться, но и остановиться там с удобствами.

Unique experience

Amazing and unique place with excellent facilities with the added bonus of amazing history. Visited with my wife and two kids and had an excellent stay. The staff (not sure if this is the correct description as they are also the managers and curators of the place which is a working museum during day time) where very helpful.
