Avoid!

Do yourself a favour. Pay $100 for a night in a proper hotel. Dingy low star Guest Houses like this abomination and the equally bad one across the road sucker people in with fake photos. Rude staff, unsafe and deplorable hygiene are just a few of the delights awaiting you here. If you can’t afford a proper hotel just don’t bother going to KL unless you really love bed bugs and durian fruit.

A terible night mare indeed....

A terrible experiance. Not less than a night mare for me. Beds were dirty, bed sheets were smelly n dirty. No shower gel or shampoo in wash room. Minibar not working. An old, dirty n rusty electric cattle. I didnt spent night there. Cancelled my booking (although no refund) and get room in a clean hotel in nearby vacinity.I would strongly suggest, STAY AWAY from these kinda guest houses. Just add 30-50 RM more into your budget (if you can) and stay at a clean n good place.

Terrible experience

Bed bugs, dirty toilet and shower. Thin walls and staff talking late at night made it difficult to sleep. Stained dirty towels, this place is a dump

perfect for very short stay 1 night or less

Becarful of 3rd floor rooms, very narrow stairs to climb, breakfast exactly 2 toasts bread, butter, jam and 1 boiled egg, wifi very bad signal or not working and most unwelccomed staff( angry, shouting, and a nightmare if u requested somthing)......

Ingen vindu og kakkelakker

Billig og sentralt, men rom uten vindu og med titallige kakkelakker. Skitne rom og dårlig frokost. Jeg ville ikke bodd her igjen.

The lights are on

If you can afford a nice hotel then I would do it. when i arrived at the guest house i was taken to a different guest house across the street.the only window faced the inside hallway and the light never turned off. The bath was small you could shore while sitting on the toilet because the shower was right above it.outside at night it was all hookers.

Good value for money

The room was small and we had no window, but that turned out to be a good thing, since there were almost no insects in our room. There may have been bed bugs though. Loud music from the disco nearby, kept us awake (along with our jet lag), and there was quite a lot of noise from the hall as well as from the streets. The location in Bukit Bintang was very good, and there were many cheap shops/restaurants nearby. The breakfast was boring ( toastbread and an overcooked egg). Overall we were quite satisfied with our stay, since the price tag made us expect very little.

affordable stay

the location is quite easy to access to anywhere else. only the room doesn't have any windows ( not even a small one) and also there is no exhaust fan inside the bathroom. it is recommended for backpackers and everyone who only need rooms to sleep (not suitable for relaxing and also for family).

The room smelled of must along with a foul smell. Staff were unorganized. Could not recommend this hotel in all good conscience.

Unimpressed

The room was dirty, there were holes in the blankets and cockroaches. We also had someone hammering on our door for 45 mins in the middle of the night. Breakfast was poor.

Don't go!

I don't know what they hassle there, but we didn't even stay at Malaysia Guest House. They send us to Babylon guest house, opposite of Malaysia... There was very unfriendly lady at reception and first they gave us room without window (even in description says there are city view), room stink moldy and wifi didn't work. After complaining we got room with window, but we had to pay extra. Seems like holtes.com has checked (and made description from) one hotel and then there are friends together filling many hotels using that...

Do NOT stay here!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Although we booked the Malaysia Guest House, when we arrived, we were taken across the street to Babylon Guest House (maybe same owner)? The location was great, but there were holes in the blankets, no window, it was dirty and there were cockroaches. On our last night, some drunk guy started hammering on our door and shouting. We were trapped in our room with no peephole to look out of, while trying to talk the guy into leaving us alone for 45 minutes! What are the security cameras even for???

Riktigt sunkiga smutsiga rum, men har man inget emot det så är det bra läge och väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Good location but bad floor condition

The location is great to access all the food on the nearby streets. Room is fairly clean and reasonable size. The timber floor on the first floor is terrible -- whenever someone walks in the corridor it sounds like someone walking next to the bed. And even worst was someone frequently entered and exited he/she room and stepped on the floor very heavily. To be fair everything else is reasonably good but not the timer floor on the first floor.

Hade bokat tre nätter här eftersom läget och priset var bra. Presonalen frågade mig vid incheckning om jag ville se rummet först vilket ju var bra för det var den lägsta standarden jag sett någonsin. Rummet bestod av en brits med någon slags plastöverdrag, det var allt. Ett naket lysrör blinkade till ibland i taket och väggarna såg ut att ha genomgått ett antal världskrig. Toaletten fanns ute i korridoren. Jag sa att jag inte kunde acceptera standarden och blev omplacerad på ett hotell på andra sidan gatan. Detta hotell var något bättre, men hade en sådan stark stank på rummet så jag stod bara ut en natt där. Mitt råd är att inte vara dumsnål som jag utan satsa på ett lite dyrare hotell.

Not a nice place but cheap and good location

I was kept awake both nights because of rats or mice activities just above the ceiling in my room. The place was very dirty and the room not very attractive. The bed was terrible with an very old madras. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Internet was free but it didn't work.

숙소가 꽉 찼대요.

우선 말레이시아게스트하우스를 찾아서 갔을 때는 예약을 했는데도 불구하고 full이라며 건너편에 babylon 게스트하우스로 가라고 하더군요. 두명이서 2만원 조금 넘는 가격으로 자기에는 그냥 불만 없었습니다. 침구는 조금 깨끗하면 좋겠습니다. 다음에 다시 오겠다고는 못하겠고, 잠잘때 많이 시끄러웠습니다. 프론트에 앉아 있는 여주인인지 굉장히 퉁명스러워서 그게 조금 짜증나더군요.

ok for cost, short term stay

Arrived at guesthouse but was taken to another location nearby, no explanation; room was clean, ok, but security is iffy (door lock is a button in the door handle, no chain or deadbolt inside), felt very uncomfortable leaving camera/valuables in room so packed stuff with me (inconvenient). Breakfast is 2 slices of undercooked white toast, 1 boiled egg & coffee/tea, served by an unhappy/unfriendly employee. When I asked for more toast, I was told "No", and you aren't allowed to prep your own toast. All in all, ok for the price but I wouldn't stay here again.

Won't go again

I was only looking for a cheap and clean place to stay, but I wouldn't go again despite the price. When I got to the Malaysia Guest House where I had my reservation, I had a similar experience to another reviewer I read, where I was told that they were full and moved me to a spot across the street they said was owned by the same owner. The place they moved me to looked better on the outside then where I had booked, but it was a bit uncomfortable as it took them some time to sort out and had me thinking my room may not be available. Room was what you would expect for the price, small, old looking (quilt on the bed looked really old), and seemed clean enough. But I had an awful night. Air conditioner took hours to really cool down the room and the air had a heavy non-clean-musty quality that made my lungs heavy. Then a small odd looking spider crawled across my bed. I got woken up at 1:30am by someone moving fast down the hall (thin walls). Then at 2am a live band started up somewhere nearby, and the thin walls were rocking with the base and the drums. Which I suppose was good I stayed awake because at 3am my air con started to leak on my bed. The dripping water on the mattress could be what was contributing to the air feeling musty or heavy. So at 3am I got dressed and asked for another room. They had one, and the air con in this one worked better and air felt better, but the shower still didn't work. Not a fully working operation here in my experience and won't go back.

Acceptible Conditions for that price

Acceptible conditions for that prince. Clean, unfortentely no Window, a little bit smelly. Shower not in special cabin but strong and worm. Laundry service good. Breakfast only toast, jam and one egg. But okay.

good location

Service at hotel was simple, the manager walked me across the street to a inferior property. They accepted us and I paid, I saw the room and changed spots loosing my $$. It was worth it for comfort.
