Good room, modern TV and clean facilities. Door lock was a bit dicky and felt a little unsercure, parking wasn't great and a little noisy from being right on the street. Staff super friendly and helpful, amazing close to the beach and park for the kids. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant..... Great overnight stop which was all we needed. Would stay again

Had a 1 night stopover while travelling the Ocean road. We arrived late but check in was very easy as the staff had communicated clear instructions to us after we informed them we would be arriving outside their office hours. The hotel was clean and tidy and parking was very good. The room was well proportioned and contained tea and coffe making facilities including a fridge which thoughtfully contained small cartons of milk for our use. There are a couple of nice cafes in short walking distance where we could get breakfast the next morning. The hotel is on the parade front on the seashore - nice for a pleasant stroll along to the Jaffa lighthouse. Would recommend the hotel for anyone needing a stopover in the area.

Although needing a bit of an update, we had a large room with access to a balcony overlooking the sea. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. A real bonus was the swimming pool which was clean and lovely after a long drive. Very reasonably priced as well.

We didn’t get a chance to check in because the office was closed. We list cell signal and didn’t get the message about their 6pm closure. There was an emergency number but I took that to be for fire or other catastrophic events. Can’t comment on the place but did find the Lobster hotel nearby was quite comfortable and offered 24 he check in.

The manager is lovely however the motel is in dire need of upgrade and the daily servicing of the room was done at the bare minimum. Bathroom tap was constantly dripping. Dishes were left on the sink unwashed. Toilet appeared to not be freshened up throughout our stay. Location is very good.

Aged hotel,as in needs updating from the 1970s or 80s. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful but that doesn’t make up for the lack of maintenance on the hotel. We stayed in what was considered a deluxe room facing the ocean. These rooms open on to an enclosed balcony which is shared by all six or seven rooms so not really a lot of privacy If you wanted to sit out there. also you’re only getting the air that is able to come through windows that only partly open possibly for safety reasons. To get fresh air in your room which the rooms need it because they are stuffy and smelly it’s quite difficult because even though you have your window fully open they are only opened to an enclosed balcony and as stated before even though the window is airflow is limited. they use bedspreads which for me is an absolute no! My first question is when was the last time they were washed. My guess is never also blankets again, when were they last washed. At least with a quilt and covered in a sheet you know the sheets are being washed regularly. Not sure if this adds to the smell of the room but quite possibly also Kingscote has an issue with seaweed and as a result there is an odour from the rotting seaweed. This could also be part of the problem with the smell. The town itself is trying to update But most areas look old and rundown. There is a local supermarket a large park and a pub and cafe there is also a seafood cafe restaurant takeaway

Lovely view from our enclosed balcony

We had a lovely view of the foreshore and sunset from the closed in balcony. The room was spaceous with a comfy bed and there was a toaster which enabled us to make our own breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was having to take our bags up the stairs.
