This is a basic budget hotel a little outside the popular areas of Edinburgh but it's very affordable & a 12-15 minute walk to the Haymarket train station which will take you into Central Edinburgh very quickly. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Nice staff & a good little continental breakfast as well.

Daley guesthouse was perfect for the few days we spent in Edinburgh. Far enough from the touristy areas to not be as noisy but still close enough to walk to the main sights. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Small room and cramped parking, but exactly as advertised. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Walking distance from the city center; plenty of restaurants nearby. Would book again.

Great stay for a good price

Overall great. The room was a bit cold but there was a heater and other helpful items which was nice. The breakfast was great. The location was amazing and super close to everything we wanted to experience. The service was very helpful, even providing headphones for a whole day when we forgot to bring some (for an audio guide). The cleanliness was good enough and quite average for smaller hotels.

Very friendly staff. The room was perfect for us. Breakfast was also perfect. We were able to store our luggage in the reception both prior to checkin and after checkout - at no cost. Good bus connections close by. Stores and restaurants nearby.

Great guest house

We were really happy to find the Dalry Guest House. Superb hosts and in an ideal location for us to visit family in the Dalry area. We didn't have an issue parking because we managed to get one of the guest houses 2 parking spaces in front of the property. We will be definitely rebooking when we next visit family in the Dalry area. Dalry is about 15 mins walk from the city centre but is well served with buses and the tram runs from nearby Haymarket.

Not for us, but probably fine for others.

Kind personnel and we should probably have known better when booking, because it did say "shared bathroom" but I do feel there are many degrees of that experience. But a mix of not having the shared bathroom and shower that close by our room, and a bed that woke you as soon as you made a move, we decided to book another hotel, even if it was expensive for us and we had no refund. So if you're staying here, be aware of the bathroom/shower situation and don't be bothered by squeaky bed.
