Wonderful location

Amazing village in the Tuscanian hills, not far from Florence. Highly recommended. Only negative note is that they are asking for a surcharge for the apartment cleaning in top of the normal rate (already higher than the average).

We reserved one night, but upon arrival we decided to stay an extra night since it was such a lovely place. The apartment provided a very comfortable stay. The grounds are beautiful and would be even more beautiful prior to our stay in November when most flowers had lost their bloom. We enjoyed wine and olive oil tasting plus a baking class. The only complaint is the lack of outdoor lighting in the apartment section. This made it rather dangerous walking to add from the restaurants which open at 19:30.

A stunning Tuscan villa stay

This villa in an old gated village atop a hill looking toward the hotel has been our best stay of 6 weeks travelling Greece and Italy. The villa is simply gorgeous, newly renovated but the exterior charm maintained, huge inside and well equiped. The village is lovely, three restaurants/cafes to choose from and all were welcoming and delicious. The hotel where you csn walk down tge road to for breakfast is itself beautiful and the reception staff were helpful when we extended another night and upon checkout. Breakfast is good including the coffee. The breakfast staff however were well, let's just call their attitude toward us ambivalent at best. We chose not to let it get to us though and thoroughly enjoyed our time back in the villa and village. Definitely recommend it. We were in villa 51...with stunning views of sunset and sunrise off the balcony.

Very Nice - but a few words of advice

Beautiful property but a little isolated. We love how relaxing it is, but the nearest ‘town’ is 15 minutes by car so not a lot of food choices unless you don’t mind driving. If staying in the Apartimenti (which we love) note that check in is at the main hotel about 1/4 mile away (so there is no front desk assistance at the Apartimenti) take care if arriving after dark (as room can be hard to find) or if you need assistance with luggage. We REALLY like this property a lot and will stay here again. Just sharing the above because it would have made our first stay easier if we had known.

Beautiful Rural Location to Explore Tuscany

This is a spectacular location - the perfect Tuscan retreat. It is a small hotel with apartments nearby and the most wonderful historic villa in the grounds, The staff are very friendly and polite and the restaurant expertly led with service excellent. Will definitely return.

Las habitaciones mejores estan en la PAGGERIA

Hace 40 Años que conozco este Hotel, cuando todavia no era tan grande y con el pueblo anexo. Los apartamentos son algo distinto que el hotel, y seguramente aptos para quien quiere estar mas tiempo alli. Para viajes breves de 1-2 dias los apartamentos son incomodos. La ubicacion es buena para quien quiere visitar la Toscana sin el trafico de la ciudad. Hay 3 buenos restaurantes entre Hotel y pueblo que son un encanto.

Dream wedding venue, poor service

Stayed for two nights for a wedding. Amazing setting, beautiful gardens and pool area. The lacking area is the service of the staff who were rude and gave the attitude of not being bothered, which when there are very few other locations close by to eat lunch or dinner was disappointing. More the feeling of ‘they Won’t be back again so we don’t need to create a good impression and have them return’. Food is ok, not the best but again why bother to make it better? Local wine produced in the area was good. Be warned, if you did not hire a car, taxis are very expensive and should be booked in advance, €130 for a 5km drive is not acceptable!

We arrived very late but the gentleman at reception was very welcoming. The staff were very efficient and attentive at all times. We ate at the restaurant and on both occasions the food was excellent. The apartment was well situated for restaurants and gelato!

Non molto soddisfatto

L’appartamento era buio e al piano inferiore c’era un odore di umidità poco sopportabile. Il passaggio pedonale per arrivarci era scomodo e poco sicuro dovendo passare in mezzo a un deposito di attrezzi. La colazione a mio avviso non è in linea con il livello dell’albergo e la concentrazione presso la sola paggeria crea code. L’offerta inoltre era poco chiara rispetto ad alcuni servizi non compresi. In generale si nota un abbassamento del livello rispetto agli scorsi anni. Il contorno paesaggistico resta splendido

Completamente da dimenticare!!!

Avevo prenotato un appartamento (n.73) in quella che era definita una dependance dell'hotel. In realtà l'appartamento si trovava a circa 1km (dicono 300 metri ma in realtà è un bel pezzo da fare) dall'hotel nel borgo di Artimino, completamente separato dall'hotel il che ha comportato il dover prendere la macchina per andarci (dopo aver fatto il check-in nell'hotel) e la mattina il dover riprendere la macchina per andare in hotel e fare colazione. Inoltre: - L'appartamento non corrispondeva per nulla alle foto visionate nel sito - il bagno non era all'altezza nemmeno di un due stelle (puzza di fogna nauseabonda, box doccia con tendina bianca fetida, phon da anni '80, caldaia direttamente nel bagno, etc.) - Non vi era la TV satellitare (come invece indicato chiaramente nella prenotazione) - Il letto non era matrimoniale (come indicato sul sito) ma due singoli uniti alla meglio che cigolavano al minimo spostamento con il risultato che mi sono svegliato dieci volte durante la notte - Accoglienza che ha lasciato molto a desiderare

Bad reception service

During our 6-night stay we asked the reception three times about getting a key to lock the apartment backdoor when going from the room to the shared terrace, which leads to the swimming pool. We never got a key even though there is a cylinder lock in that door, and the reception never responded.
