Expedia - terrible

This hotel requires that the keys are collected from LJ Hooker's office during business hours. We were late and unable to collect them. Over an hour on the phone to Expedia could not resolve this with their continued and insistent attempts to direct us to a closed office. We stayed elsewhere. Fortunately, the LJ Hooker staff member who called next morning was excellent and quickly provided a refund and an apology. If, for some reason you are late, Expedia - hopeless; LJ Hooker - excellent and worth trying again.

Nice apartment but very difficult to find...

Nice almost new apartment. It is close to some nice eateries and a bar across the street. It is difficult to find from the instructions as from the parking area you go through an un marked fire door, then must exit the building and enter the apartment from the outside. The apartment was very nicely appointed and the bed super comfortable. The location is nice and central. is great value once you find it..

book elsewhere if you can

Key need to be picked up from agent who is 10min drive from apartment between 2pm -5.30pm. Very inconvenient and impossible for some to get the key as this information is not disclosed on booking website. There is a wifi modem but the password is not available and as after 5.30pm, there was no one to ask. 100% block-out roller binds (colour black) are broken and can't be opened which is very unpleasant during the day. Apartment has been smoked in hence very smelly. A/C didn't work. No shampoo, soap etc

Nice close to city centre

No noise very clean rooms secure parking would book the same place again, bit of a drive around to collect and drop off the keys

Perfect unit if your partying on the foreshore

Great unit , very practical , well situated has everything you need and is fantastic position to the foreshore which was brilliant as we had a baby so finding meals was easy . The bed was super comfortable and the bedroom was large enough to fit a portacot in . Only down points would be that's it's very loud traffic noise especially on the fri/sat night and there is a light right outside the room which makes it almost daylight the whole night . Also we found the balcony to be unmaintained as we had to sweep so our daughter could play on her wheelie walker but the dirt buildup meant your feet would just turn black immediately which wasn't ideal as the unit has cream carpet !! Otherwise the unit was fantastic and we would use it again if we were returning !

Disappointing

Apartment was in a different location to where you needed to collect keys (approximately 5 kms). I do not recall this being noted on booking or confirmation. It was difficult to find the car park and car space. The door to the unit could not be opened without significant force. The air conditioner was inadequate to cool the apartment. Only two towels were provided which did not allow for using the pool. The balcony area was disgusting, dirty, bird droppings and cobwebs.....unusable. The was a sheet over the doona rather than an actual cover. Would never stay here again, expected more for the rating.

Great unit on the Kingston Foreshore.

My partner and I spend a great week at the apartment and could want for nothing while we were there. the balcony overlooked the foreshore and also Canberra city. Watching the rowers get reading in the morning and take off was exhilerating (wish I could have been with them). The patrons below at the restaurants, cafes and pub were all happy and joyful throughout the day. I will definitely stay here again.

Large, modern apartment in a great location. However, the address of the apartment is not revealed until the keys are collected from LJ Hooker.

Practical nice apartments

We stayed 3 nights for business. The location of the apartments is very good, and there are restaurants and shops nearby. Parking arrangements are also very practical with each apartment having its own space.

Don't stay here is you have another choice

Unless you have a car, which I didn't as I was visiting Canberra for work, you have to catch a cab out to the LJ Hooker office in Manuka. They give you your keys and tell you the actual location of your room. In my case it was back in the city so after a $40 cab ride I am at the front door of the building. Incidentally I was told that I would need to return the keys to the LJ Hooker office the next morning so another $40 cab ride. I advised I would not be doing this. Instead I would leave them in the room. The proximity reader did not work on the front door so I could not access the building. A call to the LJ Hooker office results in 'I cant help you I just give out the keys'. It was suggested that perhaps I could try accessing the building via the car park as most guests get in that way. Found the car part entry, which appears to be for another building, and walked around and around and down and down until I found spots similar to the one on my paperwork then located a lift. This did take me to the right floor and then found my room. The room was split over three levels which was fine. I like a TV in the bedroom, there wasn't one. No compendium to assist with local eateries etc. The final straw, one of the sliding doors was not locked and could not be locked so the room was not secure. Big disappointment. Would never recommend this place.

Great apartment. Better than staying in a hotel.

Great apartment on the fringe of the cbd with excellent access to everything and everywhere I needed to be. Walk to food and right next to main arterial road which made getting around town easy. Staying in an apartment also made it feel like a home rather than yet another hotel. I will stay there again.

Dirty souless

Online booking is misleading - says in Griffith but actually Civic. Room was poorly cleaned . Hated it.

Too Many Stairs

The unit was on the fourth floor and no elevator so getting bags up the stairs was a challenge. My wife had to stop every time we went up the stairs. The balcony was limited and you had to stand on a chair to be able to see out. Size of unit was great and the facilities adequate, but cleaning services need to be stepped up.

Canberra stay

The one bedroom apartment was very comfortable and clean. The location was close to everything we wanted to visit by car.

Location great but the photos used on the website wasn't what thehotellooked like. It wasn't as flash as shown on the website

Amazing apartment and location in Acton

From the moment you enter this complex there are artworks and sculptures to be seen and are beautiful. Then to step into the lift to see another piece of artwork change on the rear wall was very surprising. 'My' 12th floor apartment was beautiful and the view of the lake was more than I expected. Will definitely stay here hopefully again.

Good apartment, good location

Good location in Canberra (Barton) provided that you have a car. Apartment 32 is well presented and equipped with a pleasant outlook over SE Canberra. Would be happy to stay there again.

Could be great but was disappointing.

This is the first time I have Used Nagee. They rent apartments out on behalf of owners as an alternative to staying in a hotel. I found that the office is hard to get to as nearby parking is almost impossible so after walking 500 meters to get there and facing a 500 meter walk back to the car I was a bit irritated. The service provided was faultless but the staff are as cold as stone. I have had a warmer welcome from a coffee vending machine I came across on a train platform in Melbourne last winter. The apartment was ultra modern and comfortable however the furniture looked like it had come from a seniors sale at Copper Art (stores from the 80's who sold really nasty furniture and shiny things) There were great views however these were blocked by large black blinds half of which were damaged so you couldn't put them up and enjoy the view. There was no available internet connection in the apartment which I simply can't understand. I might consider Nagee if I was in town for a week but it doesn't work for me as an overnight business traveller.

Really bad condition . Disappointed

It was so dirty apartment we reached around 10ish there and realised that there is no dishwashing liquid and all cups were dirty . I have no idea how room service didn't check that we paid pretty good money for the accomodation it wasn't cheap at all .I complaint about the condition of apartment but no apologies I am really disappointed it was waste of money
