If you stay here, you are literally at the center of downtown. Clean rooms, friendly staff. You need to check in at 1661 down the road and they will store your bags on arrival/departure day. This is my second time staying here and I would again in the opportunity presented itself. You can’t go wrong at Hendrickson house!

Convient location

The location of this place was great, right near the ferry and room was spacious. The only downside is that check in was in a different location on Spring Street which is an 8 min walking from this hotel. Therebwas no notice in the lobby which should of disclosed this information. My husband is handicap and it was able to walk there. In addition in the evening our neighboring hotel guest came in at 1 AM and we could hear everything because walls were thin. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Location is right in the center of town, so you if you desire to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle, then this place is perfect for you! In town, walkable to many beaches, shopping, dining, etc. Room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. It can easily accommodate 3 guests. Cons: walls are thin, so you can hear chattering of guests in rooms next to you, so being respectful of the noise level is voiced by the 1661 Inn, and appreciated. Wouldn't recommend for a Family with little kids, as you do need to walk up quite a few levels of stairs, and the stairway is narrow. I believe it would prove to be difficult for a small family with little ones. However, the property was really nice and comfortable, and you can't beat the staff at the 1661 Inn! Very accommodating. We would recommend staying here and would stay again!

I stayed at both the Hendrickson House and at the 1661 Inn. The Hendrickson is much more convenient to downtown bars and restaurants but the 1661 is more renovated and upscale.

We thought the room was very cute and conveniently located. If we were people who like to sleep in late then the mopeds outside the room in the morning would have been a problem but we had no issue with them. Overall really enjoyed our stay!

The main hotel is lovely but Hendrickson House is off site. No wifi, extremely thin walls (got woken up every morning at 6.30 by next door guests), turnover service never came and by the time we called they were gone for the day. Room isn’t that well stocked. It’s ok but would only stay if I can’t find another place.

The staff and service were great, however, the room’s air conditioner never worked the entire four night of our stay. We complained daily with first staff and finally a maintenance guy out to look at it, but the could not fix. An otherwise awesome 4th of July experience was dampened by that.

Very noisy people at same residence, we complained and they said 2 other people said the same. We could not sleep because of noise until 4:30 am, they gave us complimentary breakfast and contacted people . 2 nd night was much better
