"Eclectic hotel consisting of many different buildings, with a nice inner garden area. Our room was noisy, as it was in a major pathway area and had stairs inside the room. Lots of trip hazards at thresholds. Be aware most European hotels don't have stand alone showers, which requires you to climb into a rather high tub to take a shower..not many grab handles for securing. Becoming very aware of this for senior citizens which are the ones that can basically afford expensive hotels. Staff was...

"We had a fabulous trip- the hotels w lounge on top floor made the trip. It was really a vibe with gorgeous views - had we of not had this… the issues with service would have felt a little heavier… We had issues with our room smelling however , the reception team were fantastic and really did everything they could to resolve the problem within their power to make sure it didn’t ruin our trip - despite a few hiccups we would definately go back thanks to the team that really tried to make things...

"We were assigned to a superior room we hitch included an A-frame bedroom on a lower level with stereo stairs and A-frame beams to hit your head on at night. They changed us to a less superior room all on one floor, but the price was only 25 Euros less out of around 250 Euros. The service, however, was outstanding"

"About 10 minutes walk from main train station. Friendly helpful staff. Swimming pool and gym area in basement. Convenient with walking distance to many restaurants and interesting locations. Spacious room. Bed okay, hot water pressure okay. Toilet door not lockable in room. Big desk, perfect for work with laptop. Slow elevator. A bit Pricey as many other hotels in Amsterdam. I guess you pay for the location. "

"Location is great. Rooms are worn-out, dark and very dusty. However, the bathroom is spacious and clean. Service at breakfast is not professional. They were lots of customers during our stay each morning and the staffs at Bridges restaurant told us that they couldn't handle with the large number of people since there wasn't enough of them. Service was very slow and unorganised. Overall, I think the hotel services and standard doesn't match with the price tag."

"The Breakfast on Wednesday was comic. The bar was not attended in the evening so you had to find stafff to get a drink , it also doubled up as the breakfast buffet room and had the breakfast items still out from the morning. It’s a shame the staff were lovely and very helpful. "
