"We stayed at this hotel because my husband and son were running the marathon, it was a perfect location and actually we would stay here again if we visit amsterdam because the connections into central were very easy. The hotel was very nice and the beds were particularly comfortable. perfect for the boys to recover after the run !"

"We stayed 2 nights at the Apollofirst Boutique Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was first class in service at the check-in. The young lady was so helpful with some sightseeing tips like where to catch the tram and where to get off to see the places we had earmarked. The lobby, hallways and rooms were charming in decor as was the lounge and dining area. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered many choices, from yogurt and granola to a hot traditional breakfast. It truly is a boutique...

"First point of contention is the ‘self check-in’- As you always need staff to help you with the local tax payment and assigning a key card, I really don’t see the point in this and it always takes longer than traditional check in,
Second was the room, on the first floor but the windows are so think that even when closed you could hear the details of conversations of passers by outside.
The in room constant noise was another frustration, the extractor fan runs constantly rather than just when the...

"Hotel Aalders is a small boutique hotel (less than 50 rooms) located in a historic building in the Museum District. It is ideally located just a few minutes walk to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, half an hour walk to Ann Frank House, and many other museums and attractions, restaurants and bars. The hotel is very well maintained and the services are excellent. The staff were all most friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our stay at Aalders was one of the highlights of our three week...
