"Appreciated the location of the hotel. The room was large, beautiful and quiet. Bed was very comfortable.
Concerns are the accessibility. I realize this is an old hotel and not much can be done about accessibility to the room but there are improvements within the room that would be helpful - the taps for the shower were difficult for someone with challenges with arthritis in their hands.
Staff were lovely and very helpful and accommodating."

"Fabulous! The staff are the real highlight of the hotel - they were so friendly, cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was delicious both days and the carpark easy to access. Considering the fact it has a pub attached was also quiet and couldn’t be in a better location for exploring Lincoln Cathedral and castle. Would definitely stay again."

"Lots of charm and history!! It is an old pub so be prepared to go up stairs that are a little tilted like the floors. But so quiet, I loved staying in Eton vs. Windsor. Just a short walk, really short, to Windsor over the bridge. Staff was very helpful ! Felt like i was going home every day!"

"Room was beautiful.
My partner said the chocolate croissant was the best.
Scrambled eggs were the best i have ever had.
Tour of castle was great.

"We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party.
We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself.
The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling.
Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

"This was our fourth trip from Canada to the UK and our fourth stay at Thornbury Castle. There is something truly magical about staying in a place so steeped in history. The castle’s charm, character, and atmosphere make every visit feel like a special occasion.
The staff and service are consistently exceptional, making us feel genuinely welcome each time we return. It’s rare to find a place that continues to impress you visit after visit, but Thornbury Castle never disappoints."
