"I can’t think of anything that I didn’t dislike , room was very clean breakfast was fresh and filling.
The staff on reception was excellent and very knowledgeable.
I would definitely recommend The Delta and I would stay there again "
"Varied choice for breakfast, although hot food was cheap, overcooked and cold on the servery.
Rooms were dated and unclean, sleeping on a park bench would have been more comfortable than the bed provided!
We arrived late (after 10pm) had to pay for 24 hour parking permit, not listed as a requirment and when asked if we could stay past the 10am check out was told could be arranged at £15 per hour for up to 2 hours!
Ammenities such as the pool, sauna, etc were actually closed, (opening hours are between 9am -3pm!)
Hotel is in dire need of some maintenance, a lick of paint would do wonders!
The old woman on reception was rude and arrogant especially when asking about staying later, but when I pointed out the data breach, giving me a door card in a stapled envelope showing details of a previous guest (name, telephone no, address, email, etc) she wasnt bothered! Shall not be back, ever.
My advice, find a better hotel or guest house, nothing grand about this hotel"
"We were given a room in the courtyard area no43, It was small for 2 people It smelled musty and damp The wallpaper on the outside wall was blistered. One end of the radiator, the thermostat end, was tied to the wall with a plastic tie wrap. The window was to high to reach to open There is no lift in the main part of the house or the Courtyard rooms.No43 is on the ground floor"
"We normally come all the time and it is a lovely place to be and staff are amazing and lovely. But this stay was our worst one yet. There was bugs all over our bed. Stains all over the carpet and the room had a foul smell to it like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. "
"From the moment we arrived till we checked out this hotel delivered. Lovely welcome on arrival, spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, handy fridge, sofa. Delicious buffet breakfast. My preferred eggs were not in the buffet but asked and they were provided no problem. Evening meal was delicious too. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities were great. You pay £10 for use of the facilities. Well worth it. Loved the heated beds. Plenty treatments on offer too. Take £1 coin for the lockers. Hotel is set in lovely grounds and is very central for touring the area. Preston 30 mins by bus (no's 40&41) where you can catch a bus or train to many places. Not far from Blackpool, Liverpool, the Lakes, the Dales. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return if in the area."
"First glance at the hotel was a disappointment not what the pictures showed on Expedia looks run down. Was only staying for 1 night. Check in was fine nice and quick. Hall ways looked dirty like they hadn’t been hoovered in a week or so. Found a used tea bag on the window sill. The room was terrible stains on the carpets. Wall paper was peeling from the walls, damp in the room, holes in the bathroom walls. Asked to change rooms got to say staff members really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the different room was in a similar condition. And the hall way stunk of weed been smoked. Told the reception and nothing was done about it. Didn’t use much of the facility’s as I just wanted to get checked out and leave. Really not worth £176 a night"
