"The property was easily accessible and friendly staff. Breakfast was good, not sure why there couldn't be eggs? We have 2 dogs and they were accepted, however we had to leave the bar area in the evening despite only a handful of people being in there, because they served breakfast in there. This wasn't communicated at check-in when we paid £20 per dog. The toilet paper was small and the tap spout was too near the side of the sink. The EV charger would only charge at 3.5 kwh and was expensive...

"Check in was fine. Had to pay for parking which is a Liberty. My aircon unit leaked and dropped throughout the night. Breakfast was fine Staff were good too "

"We stayed only stayed 1 night at Houghton Hall but will be going back. Our room was in the original part of the hall and had character and charm, with the wooden shutters on the windows, wonky floors and cornicing. The room was clean and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. If you like modern buildings and new decorations then this is not the place for you. The building could do with a little updating in areas, but that could take away from its charm."

"We stayed here a few years ago and found it very convenient for travelling north and stayed again last week. The property is kept clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, happy to talk to customers and helpful, the carpet to the dining area was clean which can be difficult to achieve with so many visitors. There was sufficient choice for breakfast, cooked or cold."

"Convenient to road system but unaffected by traffic noise. Free parking. Reception friendly and efficient. Lifts available. My room had 2 double beds which made the room seem cramped. The bed I used was comfortable. Ensuite bath with an over shower. I had to fix the shower curtain back on the track to avoid soaking the floor. Food good quality and reasonably priced."
