"housekeeping was great. Resort is clean and great looking. Staff is friendly but for some reason the female staffers NEVER smile. Our poolview room was laughable. we could see a small corner of a small pool thru the trees. Lack of info. we were given our room keys and told to go that way. Nothing about the restaurants, pools, entertainment etc. The steakhouse was awful. The food was great at the other restaurants and buffet. Getting in the restaurants was very difficult. "Family friendly places! Great pool and beach access. The whole staff was so friendly. We also did the snorkeling tour through the resort and had a wonderful time. Close walk to other restaurants and some shopping areas."

"Property and resort staff were amazing. Didn't like that room security was non existent. My sons were hanging out in their room and another guest walked in. We complained about the mishap. It was never followed up by the hotel staff. Also, didnt care for the wrist bands/room keys associating your "status"."

"Favorite spot we’ve ever stayed!! Staff was incredible, the rooms were so nice, well maintained & clean. The pools were amazing, the beach was like a private beach, we went kayaking on the ocean daily. Saw wild monkeys right outside our room, the food was phenomenal (even for a gluten free vegetarian!), drinks were delicious, service was excellent. Kid friendly as well. We can’t wait to go back!!"

"The property is great ane fairly centrally locates to get between the different activities, even if you rent a car. One downside that needs to be considered is safety around the waterslides in the pool area. There was 1 lifeguard watching both slides that emptied into pools that the guests were swimming in. No one was really watching to make sure individuals were out of the way at the bottom of the slides, not is there a way to see if the pool is clear before sliding. This can lead to a trip...

"Most incredible place we’ve ever stayed! The views were phenomenal, food was delicious, service & staff were amazing. We had our 4 yr old with us and there was so much for them to do as well. The hot springs were wonderful & so close to the rooms. A short drive away from La Fortuna and also Mistico park for rainforest adventures. Toucans right off our back porch, howler monkey wake up calls, hummingbirds all over. 10/10 highly recommend!!! Can’t wait to come back!"

"We stayed in a superior room with a private hot spring which was cleaned daily and secluded. Communal hot springs have a lot of tree and plant debris so at night we didn’t notice it until we felt our hair. Restaurant food is good and big portions, but a bit expensive since you don’t have walkable options. Free breakfast was delicious and a good variety. "The resort is quiet and boring. Couldn't do too many activities due to them saying we couldn't have 2 people it needed to be a party of 4 minimum. Food was good and some of the staff were friendly but most of them didn't speak or were that helpful. "This property has an incredible view of the volcano and the most amazing trails right on the property. The property is full of wildlife, and we were able to watch spider monkeys swinging from the trees from the balcony of our room, as well as watch a variety of native birds and other native creatures without going anywhere else.
