This is our second time at Los Lagos. We are big fans of the pools, beautiful property, and impressive breakfast buffet. We got a larger room set up with additional beds this time and the location plus views were lovely. We really enjoy Costa Rican hospitality everywhere but have nothing but great things to say about the service staff. We will be back!
Excellent place for families! This is our 3rd stay and every time has been fantastic. We love to breakfast buffet and all the hot springs. The canopy tours with the on site company are fantastic and our daughters had so much fun on the Tarzan swing! Highly recommend this place for families!
The property was beautiful. The hot springs and pool area were large enough that you didn’t feel like you were all over other people. The cleaning staff made cute towel animals everyday. The restaurant on site was fairly priced and the breakfast was amazing with tons of options. So many things close by and on site to keep the whole family busy-We loved it here!
It was beautiful! Traveled with family. The kids loved the pool, hot spring and waterslides. The grounds are gorgeous! Don't miss the mirrador at the top of the property. It's a gorgeous view of the volcano and lake. Food was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to everything we needed as well as lots of restaurants. Highly recommend!
I've stayed here before. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is amazing. However, there are too many people in the spa areas and they create a great amount of garbage. Drinks are left by the pool areas, wet towels everywhere, plates and food...I think the amount of people need to be controlled and some rules need to be enforced, particularly around the spa areas.
Los Lagos was amazing for our family of 4 with kids age 10 and 14. They lived the pool and waterslides and we ate at the pool bar everyday for supper as they didn’t want to leave. The hot springs were amazing as were the staff at the bar area. We upgraded our room by contacting the hotel a few weeks before our stay and had to remove one night stay. Only when we checked in was it we found out there was a $35 fee from Expedia for cancelling a night. We had an amazing superior room with tons of space within walking distance to breakfast and the pool. We had no idea there would be a living room area with a separate couch to sleep on so our son slept there. We did have to put towels under the front door at night so spiders, geckos and bugs didn’t come in. Overall our stay was 10/10 and we would stay there again in a heart beat. Our only complaint was not enough pool chairs by the waterslide. It was tough to find spots to sit at times.
Property grounds were clean and beautiful. Staff members were helpful and friendly. Dining options were available on site. Shuttles were available for various excursions in the area. Property felt safe and secure for female guests.
