"Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality."

"Comfortable place. Two beds in the room, that was unexpected. Nice. Staff need to be more attentive when . Serving and at the bar. But free breakfast was very good. Great beach, one of the best I have been in Costa Rica. Affordable. I don’t know if they have any beach chairs, I didn’t asked. There are none available at the beach except for the next door resort which they don’t rent. There are different activities offered by other businesses."

"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

"The property is breathtaking and very serene. There are so many great options in Nosara, however Esh is the perfect home base. Away from the beach hussle, but still very accessible. The complimentary yoga in the morning is a perfect to start the day. The restaurant is delicious and caters to all. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are so so comfortable. "There is a lot to share about our experience. Our family of four booked this hotel for three nights to relax after some earlier adventures. Unfortunately we got some pretty terrible weather. We were the only ones staying on the property for the majority of our stay. In the high season they have a guard station and a restaurant. In the low season they are not fully staffed.
