Liked: Room comfort, communication
The location was great. It had everything we needed. It was just outdated and as not used often could do with a good spring clean. Great size rooms, and sauna and Jacuzzi bath. Overall a wonderfully peaceful property. Our first trip with our dog and she loved the freedom and the woods for walks.

Disliked: Amenities, communication
Sadly we never got to Acorn Lodge due to flooding. Sykes recommended contacting the owner via Hotels.com app for advice on access but they never replied. The owner is uncontactable, the only number they give is Sykes in Chester. Sykes direct you to a complaint form. No customer care from either Sykes or Acorn lodge.

No mobile phone or internet signal anywhere in the area. Shower was like someone having a pee, mold in the bath jets.
