Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We checked in behind a bus So check in with slow. The guests staying at the property were very loud running up and down the hallway and slamming doors close to midnight. The property itself is in a beautiful location. I would not stay at a property with communal bathrooms again.
Staff was very friendly and gave a tour upon arrival. Property and setting were beautiful. Hot tub at the end of day looking over the fjord was amazing. Breakfast was the best we had by far in Iceland.
I am very sensitive about writing a negative review for I’m in the service industry and know how reviews can be bologna, but you should know what you’re getting with a stay here. The service was spectacular. Everyone that worked there was super nice, the breakfast was very good and the property was beautiful. The rooms, while boring, we’re very spacious and the beds were cozy. The bathrooms are shared bathrooms and I knew that going in. I was ok with it and if you’re accustom to it I’m sure it’ll be fine but my wife wasn’t. The bathrooms were relatively clean but the shower drain needed a plunging as the water pooled up around my feet during my shower, gross! Here’s why I wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel consists of two interior hallways with maybe ten rooms in each. The minute we got into our room and closed the door I knew sleep would be tough. It is impossible to close any doors without the locks making a loud banging sound. The hallway acts as an echo chamber amplifying the sound and it is very loud inside your room. Every time anyone left their room to use the bathroom or whatever, you heard that loud banging sound in your room. As well, anyone talking while in the hallway sounded like they were in your room with you. Sleep was hard to come by with the semi constant noise issues. We were only there one night thankfully for I would’ve found another place to go so I could sleep if we’d been booked longer.
Lugar simplesmente incrível, é uma mansão! Muito lindo o lugar, limpo, organizado e com hot tube. Café da manhã sensacional, com certeza é um lugar que voltaríamos!

Hot tub was nice. Hallways can get noisy and shared bathrooms during the pandemic are more risky
Wonderfully spotless guesthouse. Welcoming staff, beautiful location. Amazingly friendly dogs outside. Nice buffet and cold beer if you need it.
Hopefully be back one day, I really enjoyed it.
Everything just perfect. This is the best stay I had in my 11 nights in Iceland. Even is shared bathroom, but no problem at all. The bathroom is big and clean. Highly recommended
It has sauna ; it a bit out of town which good to see the aurora but yet not too far from town, the staff is very friendly, room is clean.. The only thing I don't like is it can't cook
Even though it’s a guesthouse with shared bathrooms, Overall experience was great. Friendly and warmly staffs and delicious breakfast are the best part.
Liebevoll geführtes Haus, eingerichet mit vielen schönen Details. Leckeres Frühstück mit selbstgebackenen Brotsorten und selbstgemachten Marmeladen. Abend unbedingt dort essen! Eine absolute Empfehlung rund um Akureyri! Wir waren jetzt zum 2. Mal da und kommen bestimmt wieder ❤️
We loved the horses! The evening ride followed by dinner was great, but after the ride when we were able to let the horses into the back field to run was amazing!! What a cool experience 😁
The staff were super friendly and very helpful the rooms were clean and bed were comfy. And after a long day a soak in the giant hot tube was perfect 👌
When we just came in, the front desk girl show me around facility friendly . Wash room with bath is very clean and have towels . Very happy and relax, there is hot tube that we enjoy it after long driving. Nice place to stay.
Fantastic guesthouse in an amazing location. Great attention to details. It makes you feel you are at home. The breakfast is the best we have ever had in Iceland. I wish we could have stayed longer..
Despite being relatively remote from the city it is a very unique site.
The rooms are a little bit small and the bathroom is outside but still I think it was a good idea to go over-there.
