Staff team was friendly and helpful. Proper orientation to the hostel amenities, especially the kitchen (and it was a great kitchen for those cooking with stoves like those found in proper restaurant). Room was airy and bed was comfy.
Bathroom and washroom clean and plenty.
We stayed at this property overnight before our cruise. It is very close to the cruise terminal, 10 minutes walking. The staff was great, very cordial, and super helpful. The facilities were clean and it is located in a great area, within walking distance of the Space Needle, Pike Market Place, many restaurants, etc. We recommend it.
Pros:
Great location to tourist sights.
Clean facilities.
Walkable neighborhood
Easy public transportation
Con’s:
Homeless everywhere
People openly using drugs on the street
Felt unsafe stepping outside after dark.
Positives:
Convenient location-
Walkable to Space Needle and Pike Place
Good shower power by girls rooms on 2nd floor.
Friendly staff
Top bunk easily accessible with stairs instead of ladder
Negatives:
Rooms and bed sheets with bad body odor smell.
Room and bed sheets had weird sweat smell
The hostel was recently opened at the time of my stay so they were still figuring some things out and getting situated. What I appreciated was that the staff were all very open to suggestions and receptive to feedback. I stayed in their ADA room, which they were kind enough to upgrade me to after I'd booked a bed in the dorm room. The shared accessible bathrooms were a bit tricky to get to from the dorm rooms so it was much appreciated and certainly made my stay easier.
The hostel isn't technically fully ADA-compliant, but they have made efforts to make it accessible and I could tell they cared about my experience and were open to feedback to make the place more accessible. They put a temporary ramp out front, which I managed to get up thanks to the power assist motor on my manual chair, but it was much too steep. Ideally they would put up a permanent ADA-compliant ramp, but if not at least a portable metal ramp of a lesser grade would be better.
The ADA room met my accessibility needs for my stay, but didn't have a shower chair with a transfer bench or backrest so I suggested that. It was basic, as most hostel rooms are, but the bed was cozy and was fairly quiet at night. I didn't use the kitchen much, but it looked well-equipped. It looked like they are planning to open a café/bar soon and that will be a nice addition.
Overall the place was clean, it's a very convenient location and the staff were friendly.
In a last ditch effort to stay within walking distance of both the space needle and the cruise ship dock, despite some trepidation, we booked the Hostel Fish. Yes we were twice the age of the staff and other occupants. But the staff was nice and helpful.
Not the corral group sleeping one would envision, but cozy immaculate rooms with plenty of clean family restrooms with showers. Loved seeing an antique building being used and appreciated. The only thing that would have improved the hotel would be curtains on the windows for the morning sunlight.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Cleanliness
Staff was courteous, but my bed was not spotless. There're food crumbs and hair found in my bed. The locker could not close even using a lock.
