Good hotel for a night. No issues.

I have been in Holiday inns and other chains that were not any better than this. If your staying for the breakfast you will be disappointed. They have cold cereal like frosted flakes and one other . a waffle machine, coffee and some kind of wrapped cookie. The refrigerator had milk for the coffeee and cerial and also orange juice. Just enough to hold you till lunch. It's not Dennys. I was there on a Saturday night and it did not seem to be full. I do not understand the negative comments. My bed was comfortable, The TV worked, but I wasn't there for the TV either. They had WiFi. I was able to take a shower, get a good nights sleep and leave in the morning with out having to take out a mortgage. In my opinion, the owners are trying to maintain a nice motel and they have put a lot of effort into it.

Problems.

During my stay there seem to be some unsavory people staying there. The police were actually there inspecting rooms. Uncomfortable!

BUGS AND SMOKE

WHEN I FRIST WALKED INTO MY NON-SMOKING ROOM THE STENCH OF SMOKERS ABOUT KILLED ME. WENT TO DOLLAR STORE AND GOT A CAN OF LIESOAL AND A BOTTLE OF FABREEZE AND SOAKED EVERY THING IN THE ROOM WENT OUT FOR SUPPER. UPON RETURNING ROOM HAD IMPROVED ENUFF THAT I COULD BREATH OK BUT STILL STANK. WENT TO SHOWER THE NEXT MORNING AND FOUND THAT THE SHOWER/TUB HAD 20 TO 30 PILL BUGS RUNNING AROUND HAD TO WASH THEM DOWN THE DRAIN BEFOR I COULD SHOWER.

Strangest Hotel Management Ever

Lobby door locked upon arrival. Had to pound on door for 5+minutes before manager came out and checked us in. Only positive about the hotel was comfortable bed. Condition of entire facility was in need of cleaning and repair. We had booked a room for 2 nights but decided to depart after the first night. When we went to lobby to inform them we were checking out, again had to pound on door to arouse management. Woman said manager was in the shower and would be available in about 15 minutes. We wrote a note and left to find a different hotel for our visit. We have never experienced such a weird situation.

Nice hotel for the price.

Comfortable bed and nice shower. Continental breakfast was kind of a joke!

The room was a bit damp and musty-smelling, saw a couple of beetles in the bathroom. Not horrible, not great--just mediocre, which is what I expected for the price.

Look somewhere else

The hotel is frankly a total mess. It's in dire need of repairs. The first night, though we were given a non-smoking room, somebody had smoked in the room, not the hotels fault. The problems are numerous to name: stain on the carpet which was moist/humid. The faucet was leaky/needed to shut it off at night. The shower curtain bar was bent and close to falling off. The pool was abandoned becoming a mosquito nest. Though we did not request daily room service, when we asked for towels, they were unable to give me any since they were in the laundry machine? Asked for toilet paper which the employee had to confiscate from another vacant room. I know the owners were trying to be helpful, and they were nice people, but until the invest a lot of $$$, I would recommend not staying in this hotel.

Disappointment

Requested a non-smoking, it was previously a smoking room. Cracks in walls, and had been painted over not repaired. The breakfast, I went at 7:15am. No milk for cereal, no fruit, no muffins, no pastries. Waffle iron worked, used last of spray butter and last of maple syrup, not enough to cover my waffle. Coffee was only good thing. The person I think was the day manager looked and was dressed like he just rolled out of bed. Not a good experience for me.

Worst experience ever!!

Bugs, smelled like cat urine and cigarette smoke. Shower was broken. Breakfast consisted of muffins and cereal. 3 pillows for king size bed. Towels were see through. Toilet ran constantly all night.

you get what you pay for

I t was much farther than I expected to drive to the zoo, pool was closed and toilet stopped working.

A sad situation

Oh my! It was the most impoverished hotel I have ever been in. It seems to be a place that gets vandalized or suffers many thefts in that there was a sign taped to the wallin the lavatory area threatening charges for missing towels. The iron was missing completely. There was food on the wall. The carpet very stained. And I woke up to a roach walking across me sheet.

Pleasant Sray

The people who run the hotel were very nice and cooperative. Whenever we needed something they were right there to assist. Overall , it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel. It was our 2nd time we stayed there.

no refund after 15min???

At check in there was a sign at the front desk that said "Hotel does not give refunds after 15 min" ... that alone gave me the "this is not a family type hotel" impression. Then we got to our room and found a half empty shampoo bottle, a cup that may or may not have been used, and trash in the trash can. And the people around us were LOUD ... not sure if it was because the walls were thin or because they were just loud. I wish I could say the place was ok, but it wasn't!!

Good value

It is a good place to stay for a quick trip. We have stayed there twice. It is not a good place if you have children. There are a lot of construction workers who stay there. They can be a little noisy, esp. in the middle of the night when you are trying to sleep. They charge an occupancy fee which does not show in the price quoted. But it is clean and they have good beds.

Visit to mrytle beach

People upstair was making to much noise, micro oven door came off but still work, graffiti on bathroom wall not nice, breakfast bar could use update and water for coffee and oatmeal for people to have for tjeir coffee and oatmeal

Smelly

Opened the door and hit with a cloud of cigarette smell. Carpet is more dirty than the ground outside of room. Paint peeling off walls in bathroom. Old bed spread. worn out mattress. Towels worn out where you can see old stains and wear patterns.

The Hotel served it's purpose,price was right.

The hotel was close to family we were visiting and was cool and comfortable.
