"Wonderful location to Most anything you want to see in York. Breakfast staff very accommodating. The rooms are a bit different some are out of building in a row that faces a wall. Don’t expect a view but bed comfy and wa and bath room a clean but small."

"Following three failed attempts to check in on arrival due to an unmanned desk, the rest of the stay was excellent, mostly down to the wonderful Sunny whom ensured our stay was comfortable and with plenty of supplies due to the weather conditions. The only downside was a faulty light in our room which constantly flashed on and off during the night which disturbed our sleep a little. We reported it twice, hoping for repair or a change of room but it was a weekend so no maintenance was available...

"We liked how quiet the area is but is still close to both York city center but close to the train as well. Everything you would want to do is within 30 minutes of walking, which is excellent."

"I loved my time here. It's a very comfortable guest house, my room was small, but absolutely suited to my needs, larger rooms are available for more than 1 traveller, reasonablypriced, too. The staff is also small, but so helpful, friendy and polite. Its located in a lovely quiet area, with a reasonable walk to the city but manageable if you have no mobility issues, but taxis or buses are easy to come by. I enjoyed my weekend immensely and would encourage others to follow suit. *****"

"Great place for a short stay. Clean & good facilities bit of confusion over payment…. Thought paid up front but hotel said not… so this is main reason for 4 not 5. Also close to late night pubs/ clubs…. So if you’re wanting to go to see early… probably not the place for you as the music can be quite loud. However, not an issue for us & slept really well. Ultimately good value for money & would stay again."
