Room 5 has not had even basic maintenance done for a long time! Generally everything is run down including exterior surrounds. At $206.00 per night, stay somewhere else.

It was booked for convenience to an event, was shocked to find it used as emergency housing and were the only paying guests. The heating didn't work neither did the stove.

Comfortable mattress; large spacious room; enormous flat-screen TV & quality dining table; newly renovated/upgraded room; good wifi connection; fully equipped kitchen w/ample cooking supplies & amenities; paper towels, facial tissues, rice cooker, panini sandwich press, mixing bowls, measuring spoons were provided; oven, stovetop, microwave, & large refrigerator; friendly & helpful owner; daily housekeeping staff were polite & attentive, but not intrusive; complimentary washing machine & laundry powder. A semi-busy street adjacent to motel, so traffic noise at times. Due to the recent renovations, fumes from new carpet or paint needed to be aired out. Sofa cushions somewhat sunken & the position of the sofa required sitting at an angle to watch TV. Nonetheless, we would highly recommend this motel, plus it's only a few minutes drive from the city centre & main sightseeing activities.

Very disappointed, dirty very very dirty. When I explained how dirty it was he said it would take so long to clean properly,I said being COVID and a cancer patient I told him the importance but he wasn’t interested. He wouldn’t even look at reducing price or any thing.

Totally new renovations including all kitchenware and appliances. Love the bathroom with ample toiletries. Very tastefully decorated. A quiet nights sleep. Reasonably priced. Will be my preferred accomodation booking when staying in Christchurch from now on.

Quiet motel

Very clean rooms. However we found the room very hot and there was no air conditioning. It was easy to find but transport needed as not in the centre. WiFi was good.

Don’t be fooled by exterior presentation

We had a quick overnight stay in the motel. The owners are clearly rebuilding the motel and first impressions on arrival are not appealing. However our studio unit was immaculate and recently refurbished. The owners/staff were very accommodating and our stay was fantastic. The motel is very well located in Christchurch.

Home away from Home

Room was deceiving looked small but once you entered it was huge lovely spacious 2 bedrooms and perfect for our family and it was like a home away from home had everything and was perfect ... felt safe in the evenings with the security doors locked and Helen the owner was lovely. Only thing was didn't know where reception was no proper signage so had to figure it out eventually did , maybe have a better reception area. And if the bathroom towels could be abit bigger If possible but overall beautiful complex

This motel is an older motel which is being upgraded. .Our unit was nice except for the sink in the upgraded bathroom .It was so small that to put shaving gear , makeup etc the only place to put it was on the floor..This was a pity as rest of unit was lovely and spacious.The owners were very friendly and made you welcome..

Small and Comfortable Motel at a Reasonable Price

This small family-run motel is good value for money in a town where accommodation is relatively expensive. Rooms are well equipped with cooking facilities, and comfortable bedding. 20 minutes walk to a shopping mall with large supermarket. Motel located 2 km east of the CBD on a quiet street. The property is gated for extra security, with 24 hr access. Adequate free car parking. Small swimming poll on-site. Grounds and room refurbishment recently completed.
