Friendly staff Good Location but Not nice rooms

Margit is very helpful and friendly but the room was not good. We opted for double room and it was very very small and the bed was not comfortable. We had hard time sleeping and have to leave next day. It is very cheap so can't complain much however if you are looking for comfort this is not the place to be.

Stanza accogliente, tv inesistente, internet non funziona bene, le pulizie lasciavano a desiderare, il bagno nel corridoio un buco dove non esistono gli accessori (asciugacapelli, shampoo o sapone) da condividere con gli altri ospiti. Proprietaria invadente che alle 7 del mattino sveglia l’intero vicinato con musica ad alto volume. Esperienza da non ripetere a meno che non dovete soggiornare una notte e via

Average: just okay for a short stay

Our stay at A’Margit guesthouse was okay. The apartment is well located, only 2 minutes away from the nearest metro station. The host was a lovely and nice woman, even if communication can be complicated. About the place: there’s two rooms and a shared bathroom. The two of us ended in the small room, and it’s really tiny and not very comfortable for two! While a single guest was occupying the master room. I personally found it annoying because we basically didn’t had the choice, and we got told if we don’t like it we can leave (it was obviously too late). Luckily it was only for two nights... also, on the add I was expecting to have our own bathroom but it’s a shared one between the two rooms. Even if the bathroom was clean, this was strongly misleading. I would say if you are looking for a cheap place to stay and you don’t really care about where you will sleep as long as it’s clean, this is for you. Otherwise, if you expect a normal standard you might very disappointed if you are unlucky and end up in the small room.

The room was very spacious and very clean. We slept quite well but we had to keep the windows closed at night as the traffic from the street was very loud. Also the room get very hot in the summer and since we couldn't keep the windows open due to street noise it was very stuffy and hot over night. Moreover, the check in process was a bit haotic and not well organized. Upon arrival at the building door we couldn't find which door number to ring, no one was answering the phone. We were lucky as one of the residents of the building opened the door for us to let us in. The lady who owns the apartment she is very nice but doesn't speak very much English which is fine but some clear instruction in written form in english would have been helpful. Location was very good, the apartment is very close to metro station, there is a big market hall just next to it and generally lots of shops and restaurants near by. Overall good accommodation for the price.

Close to transit and city centre

The host communicated well in advance for check-in details, and check-in process was smooth. The location of the apartment is good and next to a subway station. The entrance of the building is a bit too dark and old, but the place is clean. Plenty of good restaurants nearby, and supermarket is within walking distance.

Good place for a short stay

Very nice guesthouse with two separate rooms. Great location, in the very city center. Very noisy though, since there are no double-paned windows and the trams are running very often on the street. The lady owning the house is very welcoming and lovely, she speaks so many languages!

Para pasar dos días en Budapest y solo dormir está muy bien, céntrico y bien comunicado. Si es para una estancia de más días, no es muy recomendable por la comodidad de la cama.

Cet appartement manque cruellement d'un espace cuisine avec évier et plaques chauffantes et surtout une table pour les repas, là il n'y avait que bouilloire/micro ondes/ frigo dans l'entrée de l'appartement. Ne pas prendre ce logement si vous n'êtes pas habitués aux bruits et vibrations (tram sous l'appartement qui fait tout vibrer + voitures...), le sommeil est plus que léger !

Basic room, friendly host, good value for money.

A nice little room in the middle of the city. Host is a very friendly old lady (and her son). She explained everything clearly and showed everything. Room is exactly as on photos. No hidden surprise. Shared the bathroom only with a German couple (rented the big room), no queueing needed. (Host speaks fluent German) Equipment is basic, but you get everything you need for a short stay. I do recommend this place. :-)

Recently stayed at the A' Margit Guest House for 16 nights. On arrival I was greeted by a very helpful and friendly lady. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and at a very affordable price. The Guest House is ideally located in central Pest, and there are a number of restaurants and shops in the area, including a wonderful public transport system. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for cheap accommodation in central Budapest.

料金が手頃で交通の便が良いホテル

　１２月２８日から１月２日まで５日間滞在しました。トラムとメトロの駅まで歩いて１分で、非常に交通の便が良いホテルです。ビルの中の住居の一部をホテルに使用しており、ドミトリーの部屋が１室とダブルルームが１室しかありません。ダブルルームに泊まりましたが、他に宿泊者がいなかったので、貸し切りでした。女主人がホテルの管理を一人で行っており、親切な老婦人です。ホテルにフロントがなく、朝は女主人もホテルにいないことが多かったです。トイレとシャワーは共用で、シャワーのお湯の出が余り良くありませんでした。１日目はベッドメイキングと部屋の掃除をしてくれましたが、２日目以降はしてくれませんでした。インスタントのコーヒーは無料で飲むことができます。
