"What a fabulous break we have just had thanks to Manual and his team. This is a family run , small Vinyard in a stunning location. We even had a little tour of the old house which is dating back 19 generations of the family. We booked on the day while touring the area. The rooms are brand new , inside old barns and buildings. Small but just what we needed as we had a large pool and garden just near the room. The breakfast was excellent. Served by really nice staff. We went for the dinner and wine tasting option which was also excellent and with lots of great info about their wines. We were lucky to have great weather so at sunset we sat in the gardens with a glass of wine , actually in the vines… how relaxing. We would highly recommend this place for a break away from busy life. It’s a small village, only 2 little cafes , but the one we spent an evening in was ideal, cheap wine and simply food , a welcome rest from a busy week in Porto City. Overall 5/5 or 10/10 for this lovely private accommodation. "
"The hotel is unique in its situation in the very picturesque wine country, and radiates a quiet restfulness.
We truly felt like valued guests and and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
The food was savory and the option to eat outdoors made for an excellent dining experience."
"A hidden gem, very peaceful and cozy. You feel like you are in your own private villa on top of the hill. Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend."
"Nestled in the heart of the Duoro Valley, we had a wonderful stay at Casa Dona Edite and were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the family that runs this place. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.
The views of the Douro Valley vineyards and hills were stunning, and we especially loved the family-style dinners, where we met so many interesting people. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious homemade offerings each morning.
The amenities were modern and spotless, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spending time with the friendly family dog. The family-made 25 year old port wine was also fantastic and a highlight of our stay.
Transfers to and from Pinhão were easy and convenient. Casa Dona Edite offers a warm, authentic Douro Valley experience, and we would happily return. Thank you for the lovely stay!"
"Beautiful property in a great location. People working there are very kind and accommodating. Decent breakfast and they have a small selection of items for dinner. Mostly salads and sandwiches but it’s all very tasty with a beautiful sunset view of the mountains."
"Tout a été incroyable. La vue est à couper le souffle. Nous ne sommes restés que 24h et nous regrettons ne pas avoir pu en profiter une journée de plus."
"We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Nova.
