"I’ve been in Kyoto twice. This time I chose R Star Hostel for because it’s new and facilities are very good. Highly recommended. << Good location >> just 1 station next to Kyoto subway station. The hostel is near exit 2, elevator only at exit 6. Plus a little shop, BlackCat service near by too. <> Staff can commuicate in English fluently, and they are really really helpful (cos I had some trouble accident on my knee, and I’ve got good care from them, Awesome!!! ) I definitely come back again...

"This is an absolutely great hostel - brand new, very clean, spacious ground floor (this is the common area) but maybe not enough seating when the hostel is fully booked (add a couch?). One can feel that everything is brand new, my room (8 people dorm) had a top light and bottom lights (next to the beds) for the night, which I thought was great. The bed is very comfortable and you can choose between three or four types of pillows (sic!)! My bed had a total of 3 power outlets + 1 USB port + my own...
