"Our second visit and it certainly did not disappoint. From our arrival, being met in the car park, through our stay to the very last minute, the staff could not do enough for us. Room was spacious and well laid out. Lemon cake already in the room was delicious. Grounds are amazing especially if like me, you are interested in plants, their growth and wellbeing. The orchard and veg/herb gardens are a joy. We opted for the tasting menu which was wonderful. Strawberry dessert was to die...

"A short 1 night trip away the beautiful grounds of this hotel took our breathe away, we really felt we were in the middle of the countryside and the lovely river flowing around only added to this. Our room in the main section was a little small BUT modern, all recently refurbed with underfloor bathroom heating and a lovely comfortable bed and absolutely perfect for our short trip - any more than 3 nights and you'd probably run out of space. "Outdated. No whwre near what it was before. Room was old dated and filthy. Food option was very very very poor and the staff struggled to keep up with drinks. So upset with our experience. we were so looking forward to it and a special occasion ruined "

"It's pretty nice. My biggest complaint was that it was so warm we had to keep the windows open all the time, which meant we had to listen to traffic noise all the time, and there is a lot of traffic noise. Other notes: Window blinds were damaged and half-functional. Combination clothes washer/dryer does not dry effectively. Only one key is provided for an apartment that sleeps six. "
