Super convenient spot for a city stay. The subway is just a few steps from the entrance, which made getting around so easy. Having a 7-11 right around the corner was a total life-saver, too. The area is awesome—lots of high-end shopping (like Diesel) and a ton of great restaurants to check out. Plus, there is a solid gym around the corner when you leave if you need a workout. Really loved the vibe here. Highly recommend if you want everything within walking distance!

Staff were very professional. I liked the spacious 2 double beds. Also lobby was very nice with coffee bar and sparkling water station. It has a relaxing feel and also the pamplets available for Kyoto’s main attractions were helpful. Location was great for few minutes walk to many restaurants including Nishiki Market and various train station.

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed in during our Japan trip. The rooms are so clean and spacious. It is at walking distance from popular sites. Staff was so helpful and kind. Totally recommend!

We had a great stay at the Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sanjo Karasuma. Staff was wonderful and rooms were very clean and roomier than the hotel we had in Tokyo. One room unfortunately had zero view out the window - the glass was even opaque. The amenities were very nice and the hotel was spotless and nicely decorated.

We were in Japan for 2 weeks and divided our stay in Osaka, Kyoto, & Tokyo. This hotel was my favorite because we had enough space, a tv connectable to Netflix, a drink station (including coffee & tea & SAKE!) they have 3 locations (all within walking distance from each other). It was in a quiet area but the attractions were walkable. The hotel is in close distance to bus and train as well. They offer luggage transfer but cash only! Aside from the space, the reason why this was my favorite hotel was because rhe room has a washer/dryer which is convenient for long stays. We also stayed during the winter time so we dried our coats prior to walking out.
