"We didn't know that we could occupy the whole house when we booked this place. It was a great experience to live in a local Japanese's place. We rented this place for the 4 of us and it was very comfortable. The house was very close to the local subway station and actually located between the train tracks, which was very convenient. However, I would not recommend this house to light sleepers since the running trains could get fairly noisy at night. The host also provided us a portable WIFI but...

"Surely a great choice for vacation. Spacious, enough for 4 people. Modern design with open kitchen. Love the big bathroom (with bathtub!) and toilet which are connected. Can choose to sleep on beds or tatami as there are plenty extra mattresses. Supermarket within 5-min walk. The owners greeted us warmly when check in and stayed connected during our stay. Everything is fine — would have been perfect if there is a television."

"Good experience to stay in traditional Japanese house.clean and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine was convenient. Due to it being an older building, insulation isn’t very good and gets very cold in the winter and need heaters in all rooms. Location is not great as it is walking distance to most places. Bus stop 7 minute walk. Could have provided more furniture such as chairs. Overall nice experience besides being on the cold side."

The neighborhood was not hard to navigate, but it was a good ten minute walk to the busy part of shijo-dori. We arrived very late in the evening but had no trouble. "This is a hostel, not a hotel. It has limited shared bathrooms and kitchens, the walls are paper thin and it is expensive for what it offers. It is clean and there was a well meaning, helpful manager. "
