"Deluxe junior suite was beautiful! Adults really should stick with Westin Club pool. Best food was at Faisinella. Bamboo Asian was really bad. Caracola has most diverse menu and pretty good. Bathrooms in restaurant area were shameful. Sunset at beach incredible, but local vendors can be annoying. Overall still a great resort!"

"Hotel Los Lagos is the best hot springs resort at Arenal. The price is reasonable, the hot springs are great, the slide is fun, the breakfast is fantastic, the staff is helpful and friendly. I cannot say a bad thing about this resort, everything was great. This was my 2nd visit this year, and, I have visited this resort, maybe 8 or 10 times over the years."

I arrived early due to my flight, and although my room wasn’t ready until 3 PM, the receptionist didn’t charge anything extra and gave me full access to all amenities and restaurants right away. "This is a gorgeous property but not as all inclusive as you'd think for the price.They try to get you to a timeshare meeting when you arrive but they aren't too pushy. Then, as you go, you find out there are a lot of "yes, buts". For example, we asked a bartender if we could take a bottle of wine back to our room with us and he said yes just call room service. So we did and they said the limit was 2 glasses and it would be a 45 minute wait. The staff were friendly but you had to pay mucho out of...

"The meals were average at best, nothing memorable. The room was clean but not well stocked. The furnishings were old (curtains torn and dirty), mismatched cups with chips and stains. Only one of everything in a room for two people so we had to ask for the second coffee cups etc. the one plus was the water dispenser in the room that served hot, room temp and cold water. "

Here are a couple reasons we didn’t love it: the hot springs are basically a couple jacuzzis coated with a black plaster, the sauna wasn’t steamy or hot enough, the gym needed a reservation and wasn’t available before our early departure, you can’t walk anywhere from here and the staff interactions were a little forced.
