"El Convento is always a great choice for Old San Juan. Our room this time did have a disagreeable view of the squalid property’s roof which was next door. Management could not move us but were very apologetic and sincere in taking our concerns seriously. We always stay at El Convento. "

"We had communicated to the hotel on 2 separate occasions concerning our late arrival time which was to be about12:30 am. I was assured that someone would be there to check us in. Our taxi dropped us off on a very dark and deserted street and the door to the hotel was locked, we rang the doorbell and phoned several times but no response. "We love the history and charm of this place. Have been here before. Location is central but off the beaten trail. Given howw close to Fortaleza we feel very safe. We can walk everywhere in OSJ in an easy effort. OSJ is one of our favorite destinations. "

"We chose San Juan b/c we had a cruise departing from San Juan. The location was excellent to enjoy Old San Juan. It was close to restaurants and nightlife! The hotel had one remote to control the AC and they held that, so we had to request someone from the front office to change the AC temp when needed. Other than that, this place is really nice and highly recommended!!! "

"The place was great and beautiful but make sure they refund the deposit they take. They did not for us and when I followed up. they gave a long run around and we have not still received. It is unfortunate as we would have gone back and recommended but now this put a very bad taste of the dishonesty. "
