Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

"We recently stayed at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience overall. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and impressively quiet, making it easy to relax and get a great night's sleep. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom stocked with quality toiletries. Our only minor complaint was the shower. It was positioned over a fairly high bathtub, which made getting in and out a little difficult. We also found the water pressure and shower head could be improved. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service from all the hotel staff. Every team member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding, probably the best hotel breakfast we have experienced. There was a huge variety of options available, all beautifully presented and well organised. It catered to every taste and was a fantastic way to start the day. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend Sofitel to others. The comfortable accommodation, exceptional staff, and incredible breakfast more than made up for the minor issues with the shower."

"My daughter and I enjoyed a memorable stay here at the Hyatt. All staff, from Bellhop to Reception, were professional and courteous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room (Riverview) was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view out across the River Yarra, Arts center, and MCG was amazing, especially so at night. A thoroughly enjoyable stay; thank you Hyatt. We will return."

"First time staying here in ten years. It is exactly the same. Overall it was a decent price for that location with breakfast included and nothing really negative, but also nothing that stood out to mention. A fresh coat of paint would help the rooms look not so dated and worn. (Carpet looks so icky). Booked a room with two double beds for four people. We only had one pillow each which we didn't think about until it was time for bed and didn't want to wait around for them to bring us any more. Shame they was none in the cupboard like many other hotels. Beds were pretty comfortable though. The one time we forgot a brush/comb they didn't have one in the bathroom, which I think is a first from all the hotels we've stayed at. Pool and gym are basic and very small, there were quite a few people in them. Buffet breakfast is small but offers a variety. The location was perfect for what we needed and there are plenty of parking options close by. Our main concern is that they were short staffed, which from some conversations from staff is pretty standard. We spent 30mins waiting for check-in (arrived at 2:30pm). Check-out felt a little cold. Staff at the counted asked what room, if we had anything from the bar, then said. Ok you're fine to go. Maybe we're just use to staying in places that have higher standard of customers service. Just would have appreciated a, thanks for staying with us, have a great day."
