We enjoyed this hotel for its traditional Japanese style. The room was clean but the conditions of the carpet and other furniture was run down and needed to be updated. The staff was kind though their English wasn’t too great. The location was perfect and Kyoto was an amazing city

It was really nice. Close to everything. The suite was so big with a living area. The bathroom was really big and the jacuzzi was a convenience! After a day of walking the bathtub was a respite for tired muscles. No need for onsen! I will definitely stay here when in Gion/ Kyoto area.

The desk was broken and the outside balcony had some kind of curtains that were broken. Look very outdated. Bed was nice and comfortable, very good size room. I mentioned my silver status as was required by Expedia but nothing happened. Over all was a good stay and a clean room. The location is great!

We chose Kizashi the Suite due to its location in Gion as well as for the unique Japanese styling of the rooms. Rooms were really spacious with nice bathrooms with a soaking tub, a large bed, a nice (visual only) stone garden and even a small bamboo floor meditation/prayer room near the entrance. If you want to walk to many locations (Gion, Pontocho, even the Philosopher's Path) and be near both bus and metro lines, it is also convenient. Thanks to the owners for a nice experience.

Very nice. Staff was wonderful, bathroom in the room was incredible!! The tub was so relaxing. The room had a frayed and stained carpet and there were no plugs for charging devices.
