"Good experience with Taj exotica. Staffs are friendly. They have a birthday welcome cake in the room upon the check in which was really impressive. A little trouble of the charged on the transportation. My room rate had inclueded round trip transportation between airport to hotel, but the hotel mistook and charged me again, but after explained to staff, they waived it out for me. Overall the hotel are perfect vacation. "

"Our stay at Velassaru was amazing. We spent 12 days on the island, and did not want to leave... The level of service and dedication of the staff are beyond the words. The hotel is ideal for family or romantic getaway. The island is very small and that makes it really quiet and peaceful. You can see Male as it is really close by, but on the other hand you don't need to spent extra hours for getting to the island. Highly recommend this hotel to all lovers of the tranquil holidays."

The only reason I dropped one star overall is that I felt the food and drinks were very overpriced considering the good but not excellent quality. We were stunned by the buffet cost considering we are not big eaters. "
