Modern, spacious room in great location (15 minute walk from Gion). The service and staff were excellent, and the hotel offers a shuttle to Gion and Kyoto Station every hour which was invaluable.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only thing was the hotel was a bit of a walk from the city centre other than it was perfect and would highly recommend

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. Very modern, nice and clean, great location, walkable to many nearby sites, and easy access to the trains. The staff was so kind and helpful and the hourly shuttle to and from Kyoto station was a huge added bonus with the nicest drivers! I loved it here so much that I decided to stay an extra night! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Kyoto and I hope to be able to return one day soon! Thank you for an amazing stay!

I stayed at The Hotel Higashiyama Kyoto Tokyu and it was a wonderful experience. The location in a short walk from historic temples, charming streets, and excellent dining. The staff were consistently attentive and professional, offering helpful local tips and making check‑in and check‑out effortless. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed; the bed was comfortable and the windows framed peaceful city and garden views. For the quality of the hotel, the price felt like a real bargain. The hotel’s calm atmosphere made it easy to unwind after a day of sightseeing. I would happily return on my next trip to Kyoto.
