"Very beautiful hotel, dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious. En-suite onsen was very relaxing. There was construction across the river from our onsen. The hotel can not help that but it affected our experience."

"Beautiful, traditional and tranquil. Wonderful onsen facilities, both private and public. Staff are extremely attentive. Early check in is not accepted but as soon at the clock strikes 3pm the service and quality of attention to the guests snaps into place, almost like a light switch. Food is served in a beautiful dining room with private booths for each guest. Lots of variety and many little dishes, some of which will definitely not be suitable to western palates but the experience itself is a beautiful one"

"Except one thing that I will mention at the end — The room was nice and clean. The public baths were great (able to tried both located on 5F and 6F) - well maintained and clean. The view of 6F public bath was spectacular. It’s definitely not convenient location because it’s the terminus station of the bus from Gora. Going back to Gora you will definitely take hotel shuttle which ends at 5pm, or taxi. We happened coming from Gotemba where the bus stops right outside the hotel. So the only thing we didn’t like - the private hot tub in the room. (1) small that could just fit one (we happened to go to another onsen hotel and in-room tub could fit 2); the room’s tub is at the balcony… let’s not say it maybe too cold at night. It was very dark at night too. There were only very dim light at the corner of the balcony making it very dark at night. — the dark and cold and small tub making us impossible to enjoy the private tub in the room. Not sure how others would enjoy or do that at night. But we think it’s just something that looks nice for you to have but it’s just not practical."

"The room was clean, spacious and quiet at night. Room service meals were delivered to the room and sign-up for onsen times were easy to arrange. I used the in-door/out-door onsen each evening and morning… instructions were clear - and being outside in the warm water under the shelter as the typhoon rains fell was very calming. I enjoyed the Japanese breakfast both mornings - beautifully presented without the polite service from staff - and ample self-service drinks (orange juice, apple juice and barley tea). The facility is a bit hidden - but figured it out. Check-in and check-out went smoothly."
