"Loved the location, it is just steps from the Royal Mile and lots of attractions. The Tolbooth Tavern nearby was a great find. The building itself is really good as well. There is are lot of stairs, but also a lot of space which was very good for our famiy stay. The building does need some updates (ie carpet on stairs looks dingy, and there are banged up walls in the stairway is likely from lots of travellers). "Hotel was easily accessible for walking from the bus/train station's, shops and eating places and night life. Our room was so peaceful and no noise from outside traffic or people, only problem my husband has was there was no window but thats what i booked as was only for a 1 nights stay. "
