"Great hotel with an excellent location. The reception team was very helpful—especially Mr. Saad, who was incredibly kind and arranged an early check‑in for us even though we arrived several hours before the official time. The elevators were impressively fast, and housekeeping on the 51st floor was exceptional.
One thing that I want to mention that the hotel reception staff had to verify our payment since we booked through Hotels.com and that took more than 45 minutes which was a bit concerning (not sure what the issue was event when I showed them my credit card charge that Hotels.com had charged me). This issues is its hard to communicate with folks in Saudi Arabia when you don't speak arabic, they are trying to get better but are a long way and will need to improve.
The hotel is on the pricey side, but the overall quality reflects that. We booked the breakfast package, and this is where some clarification is needed: during Ramadan in Saudi Arabia, “breakfast” is interpreted literally as breaking the fast, meaning it is Iftaar—not the morning meal that Western guests would consider breakfast (which during Ramadan would be Suhoor). The hotel would not adjust this for us, and given the cost, that felt unfair. This is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5."
