"Stayed during FIFA events & Pride Week. Staff provided advance notice about Pride parade road closures & suggested alternate routes, which helped with planning.
Purpose of our trip was surgery at a Toronto hospital. The location was ideal—less than half a block to the subway & streetcar, under a 10-minute walk to the hospitals, or about a $5 Uber ride. Union Station was about a 30-minute walk or a short subway ride away.
We paid extra for the breakfast package through Expedia, & it was worth it. Breakfast included French toast, sausages, scrambled eggs with toppings (cheese, olives, salsa & bacon), vegan options (spinach & beans), oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, croissants, scones, muffins, fresh berries, melon, juice & coffee served at the table. Apples & oranges were available to take, & staff provided containers & bags for guests who couldn’t stay to eat.
Our standard king room was small but clean & modern. Request a higher floor for less traffic noise & a better view.
We didn’t use the pool but spent time relaxing on the attached outdoor patio. It was quiet, with lounge chairs, & a nice place to eat takeout while my spouse recovered from surgery. Restaurant food can also be served on the patio.
Despite the busy week, elevator wait times were minimal. When one elevator was temporarily out of service, a manager directed guests & kept everyone informed.
The location, breakfast, clean rooms & outdoor patio made it a good choice, especially for anyone visiting nearby hospitals."
