"It’s located just a one-minute walk from the train station and overlooks the river. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The facilities are extremely clean and very quiet. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of choices."

"We had a room with a private bath on the balcony. Our room was very clean and well appointed. My husband and I had separate single beds - not sure if I made a mistake with the booking or if that was standard. The location of the hotel is stunning. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. There was a shuttle bus from the local train station which we didn’t know until a couple of days before our trip. The included teppinyaki dinner was one of our favourite dinners in our whole time in Japan. No tattoos allowed in the public baths, but the private bath was perfect for me. "

"A truly unique experience that my family loved. The accommodation is over 100 years old, so it creaks, has low doorways and steep stairs but that was what made it charming. The staff were amazing at check in!"
