"It’s a small hotel walking distance to Nijo station. There’s also a 24 hour ramen place and Kura which is a revolving sushi restaurant that is close to the hotel. "

"Staff was wonderful, great room and breakfast. Location is awesome, right next to Nijo station trains and subway. Discovered the buses were great also. Note you can use your Suica for all the public transport."

"Our room (Kaede room) was bigger than expected. Lovely 2 night stay in a quiet inn/ryokan style accomodation. Washer/dryer combo was awesome to have. The stairs to the 2nd level is very steep. Great to have a second toilet & sink upstairs. Soaking in the open air bath after a long day out was wonderful. We never used the buses but they were everywhere, usually crowded. We used the local trains and walked. There are convenience stores a couple of blocks away. "

"Everything was perfect and as expected! Please keep in mind that the rooms are small, but that is expected in the city. Breakfast buffet was amazing, and conveniently located near 7/11, and the Tambaguchi Station. They have a public onsen, but I didn’t get the chance to use it since I have tattoos (I want to respect and be courteous of policies). "The place was very clean and quiet. It felt like we had it all to ourselves. The kimono station was a plus that’s we didn’t expect. Free coffee/tea in the lobby was nice. Shower and toilet were awesome. We loved the place and it was in a more residential area which made it more authentic. Walkable to a beautiful Shinto shrine garden and Nijo Castle. Sanjo street is a nice walk also. "

"The rooms are always great. I've stayed at this hotel during 3 of my trips to Kyoto. It's in a good location between the station and some great morning/evening attractions in case you miss buses. "

"It was really clean and spacious. Plus the location was excellent since you can easily go out to eat at any famous place along Shijo st. Also the access is good . You can travel from the nearby bus stop or the station to any tourist places in Kyoto. "

"Lovely place to stay, a little out of the way of central Kyoto but still would recommend a stay. Washing machine in the room was super helpful, there's even a machine to get washing liquid capsules in the lobby. Walking distance to a launderette if needed for drying clothes. We got the address wrong on our luggage we had forwarded and the Rest Inn was able to call up and get it sorted for us. It was delivered within a few hours."

"Very good location, close to a convenient train station, 8 minutes ( when taking the local train ) from Kyoto station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Careful with train and bus times when getting back late , as the local train stops before midnight. An Uber ride from Kyoto station may be around US 23. "The hotel was very conviently located about a 25 minute walk from the main areas of kyoto. It was also close to the train eaten station. Overall the stay was very pleasant. The included breakfast of rice porridge was simple but nourishing. The rooms are compact and the only issue was the water temperature in the shower would occasionally drop to a colder temperature."

"Nice hotel with comfortable bedroom. Room had a fridge, microwave and kettle. Nice bathroom with separate toilet. You could also get coffee in the main reception. Had laundry facilities which was ideal Well positioned for the train station."
